๐Ÿพ Bring an extra pet handler. Having an extra person (in addition to accompanying parent) nearby makes it much easier to get your dog's attention and step in between photos. This also gives the option for the pet to take a break, arrive late, or leave early.

๐Ÿพ Pet should arrive 30 minutes prior to photo time. Allow your pet to scope out the place and get acquainted well before we expect them to take photos.

๐Ÿพ Consider starting the session at home or familiar place for the pet.

๐Ÿพ Have lots of treats and a favorite toy.

๐Ÿพ Choose an outfit that works well for posing with pet

๐Ÿพ Bring the nice collar and leash -- Possibly also coordinate with your outfit.

๐Ÿพ Don't worry about perfect behavior. The best pet photos usually happen in the in-between momentsโ€”the nose boops, the cuddles, the goofy expressions, and the moments that make you laugh.

๐Ÿพ Trust the process. We'll capture both the classic "looking at the camera" portrait and the candid moments that show your bond.

Try these easy tricks:

Some of the most beautiful images happen when you're looking off into the distance instead of directly at the lens.

โœ”๏ธ Play with your hair
Tuck it behind your ear, run your fingers through it, or gently adjust a strand. Movement creates natural-looking photos.

โœ”๏ธ Laugh out loud
Not a fake smile. An actual laugh. (Don't worry, I'll demonstrate first ๐Ÿ˜‚)

โœ”๏ธ Bring flowers
One of the easiest props ever. Hold them, toss them, smell them, lay in themโ€”flowers instantly add personality and variety.
