Generation Jones roll call!

We’re the generation that:

• Drank water from a garden hose and lived to tell about it• Rode in the back of pickup trucks with zero seatbelts• Programmed the VCR… but only after losing the manual twice• Had only 3 TV channels and somehow still knew what was on every night• Used a rotary phone and could untangle a 20-foot cord like a professional cowboy 🤠• Waited all week for our favorite show because there was no rewind, no pause, and definitely no Netflix

We survived lawn darts, metal playgrounds that could fry an egg in July, and parents who said:“Be home when the streetlights come on.”

And somehow… we turned out just fine.

History trivia most people don’t know 👇

In 1893, a member of Congress actually proposed a constitutional amendment to rename our country the “United States of the Earth.”

Yes… seriously.

It never passed. It didn’t even come close. But it was formally introduced.

For a moment in American history, someone stood up and suggested that the United States could eventually expand to include the whole world under one name.

Think about that.

Over 130 years ago, people were already debating global identity, national sovereignty, and what the future of America could look like.

It didn’t happen.
But the fact that it was proposed? That’s fascinating.

History is full of ideas that sound impossible — until they’re not.
