Thankful Tuesday-
If you're new here... a big thing in my family is instead of asking "what's wrong with you?" we replace it with "what's right with you?" I have incorporated this into my business by making long, truthful, and sometimes emotional posts on what's right with me. What I am thankful for. I encourage you to comment on what you're thankful for below too..
Now onto this week's post.
There is a quote that says one day you will wakeup and realise you are living the life you a year ago dreamed about, and this week I've noticed more and more how true that is.
I have been blessed with rodeo crews all over the eastern states keeping me happy and booked, supporting my every move, and trusting me to capture their event. Not only because of my amazing personality (lol.) and ability to capture action, but because I truthfully believe in every story I get to tell with my camera.
A year ago, I was just starting out... being trusted to shoot a gig on my own for the first time...
I'm thankful for that gig a year ago.
I have rode horses since I was four, so many I can't even count. I was blessed to have an amazing trainer, who now goes leaps and bounds for me to see me grow as a horse woman.. and has let me ride some pretty amazing horses over the years. A few years ago, she is the reason I got my gelding B, and I have grown so much while working out his quirks to the best of my ability... now... I have some new and exciting opportunities due to another rodeo mom, and I can't wait to see how they pan out.
I'm thankful for B, my first horse, and for Nikki and her family who have always pushed me to be the best I can be.. even when I am emotional. 😉🤣
My dad started a non-profit for father's and their kids in 2014. A passion project of his where we camp and canoe every year on father's day weekend. He started working out of state in krder to provide for us, but also to get the time he needs off to listen to God's calling for him. While working far from us is hard...
I'm thankful for this weekend. For all of the bonds and memories made and repaired at this camp, and that my dad is home even for a short time. I'm also thankful to have such an amazing role model in my life not only as a man who is driven to accomplish his goals, but who is respectful and loves my mom more than I've seen any man love anyone.
I'm thankful for Albert the donkey, Strawberry lemonade (WITH real strawberries), good friends and coffee shops, baby pigs, rodeo galleries being mostly finnished, and good horses. 🤍
