Hey friends and neighbors — As a small, woman-owned bakery right here in Yorkville, we need your support now more than ever. We are grateful for every smiling face that’s walked through our doors. But the winter months have been tough, and we could really use the love of our community to help us keep the ovens warm and the coffee brewing.

We’re asking you to pause before buying coffee, pastries, cakes, etc. from other million dollar corporations, where your purchase will go unnoticed. Big brands will survive without you, small business owners won’t. Little Loaf Bakehouse isn’t a factory. We don’t have machines doing the work or marketing teams selling a story. Every loaf, cookie, cake, & box of pastries are made by real people from your hometown.

As ingredient prices continue to rise; butter, sugar, eggs and chocolate… everything costs more, but we continue to keep our original prices with no convenience fees (apart from using a credit/debit card.) Utilities are higher. Supplies are higher and appliances are harder to replace. One broken freezer can mean panic, not just inconvenience.

When you support a small business, your money doesn’t disappear into a corporate pocket. Every order means more than you realize. Your order helps pay the mortgage; it keeps the lights on and the ovens warm. It buys time, hope, and another chance to keep going. So, we ask you please be kind to us and other small local business owners. Our profit margins are thin; even if you’re not buying, share our page, recommend us and like our posts. It tells us our work is worth it.

Maybe pastries, coffee and espresso aren’t your thing. We offer breakfast and lunch sandwiches, Detroit style pizza and we can make a mean bloody mary or a light mimosa and anything in between….come in and try a dirty shirley…it is fantastic!

If you’re looking for a place to unwind, we host live acoustic music nights a couple times each month May-Oct. We also have acoustic music hour on select days monthly. IF you are looking for coffee or espresso, we offer our full-service coffee and espresso bar daily (except Wednesday) and our syrups are made in house!

Let us be a part of your circle…. We offer custom orders for any occasion and will create something within your budget. Our cozy space is perfect for small parties or get-togethers. We can hold private parties at a time that works for you! When the warm weather returns, we’ll also be hosting larger summer celebrations out back — and as mentioned, we’re licensed to serve beer, wine, and cocktails! Call us and let us know how we can help with your next celebration. Together, we can make sure this little bakery continues to be within the heart of our hometown.
