I know when you’ve just had a baby, getting in front of the camera probably isn’t high on your list. You’re tired, your body feels different, and you’re still figuring out this whole new version of life.

But get in the photos. 🤍

Fun fact: Katie showed up in a graphic t-shirt and shorts. 😂

These photos of her and Rippy weren’t planned.

And honestly, that’s exactly why I always encourage mama to get in the frame during newborn sessions.

You don’t need the perfect outfit. You don’t need to feel photo ready. We can work with what we have and make something beautiful.

Because years from now, nobody is going to care what you were wearing.

But these? These will matter. 🤍

A quick note about donated sessions, giveaways & gift certificates 🤍

I donate a lot through my business—sessions, discounts, time, fundraisers and benefits—and I genuinely love being able to do that.

But those donations are always intentional.

If you’ve won or been gifted something from me, please have the actual certificate, voucher, or verification of the donation when reaching out.

A business card isn’t a gift certificate, and someone else’s promise of a free session isn’t automatically a promise from me.

I’m always happy to verify something if you’re unsure. 🤍

I love being generous. I just don’t love having generosity decided for me.

Airplanes, Momma, and smiles are just a few of his favorites.

Fun fact:

I hate time frames.

So a lot of photographers, myself included, list sessions like:

15 minutes - micros
30 minutes - minis
1 hour - full session

But if you’ve ever been on the other side of my lens I don’t do well with time frames.

Sometimes it takes 45 minutes for Littles to warm up to, the new space, the camera, the photographer….

So when you’re scheduling with me understand that, sometimes I can get you in and out in 15 minutes, sometimes it’s 45, and sometimes it’s 2.5 hours (this only happens once). 🫠
