For the past several weeks, I’ve been collecting, sorting and organizing an extraordinary and eclectic collection of jewelry belonging to my client and friend, Dr. Carolyn Flanary, who passed away earlier this year.
Carolyn was an accomplished orthodontist and later an alternative certified wellness coach whose passion was helping others heal. I was appointed assistant to the administrator of her estate, and what began as chaos slowly became something I never expected.
As I inspected each piece, researched the makers and learned more about what she had collected over a lifetime, I began to see Carolyn in all of it—the bold, the beautiful, the unusual and, of course, the sparkle and shine! ✨
It has truly been an honor to be trusted with this part of her story.
