Trichaptum sp.

T. abietinum or subchartaceum. They both grow in this region and look very similar when they are dried up in the winter. Easier to tell them apart in the spring when they are fresh!

We are buried in snow currently and waiting for it to melt so I can get back out again. Counting down the days for spring!!!

Stuck inside the past few days due to the flu. I seem to get it every year around this time.

My immune system isn't what it used to be. I spend very little time around people, so being exposed to small groups is always tough for me.

Looking forward to getting back out soon before the last of is
over.

A bit late in the season for finding these but we've had some moments of weather here in the Midwest that have been sporadic.

Now we are expecting a light snow shower tonight....❄️ crazy!

Happy Mycology Monday everyone!

Nothing is more valuable to me on the planet above my family than the time walking in my beloved forest.

Surrounded by whispering Oaks and painted Maples. I feel the chill in air and the rustling of the leaves like Autumn's soundtrack on an endless loop.
