Hi y'all! Let me first thank you for wanting to get to know me. I'm a wife, mother of two beautiful children, photographer, and I'm an elementary school teacher. My family and I live a simple country life complete with horses. We have 11 acres in Marion. So if you need a beautiful location to shoot, you're welcome to come over!
I have always been artistic, but I seemed to lose my way with art du
ring college and especially afterward. When my daughter was about 11 months old I got my first DSLR, my first "real" camera. Not too long after that I began graduate school to advance my education in literacy. My camera had to be put away as I had no time to learn it. Then my husband and I were blessed with our son. Photography got put even further to the backseat. It wasn't until the summer of 2016 that I was finally able to devote time to exploring photography. I was asked to take my photography “public” shortly thereafter. This journey has been so exciting for me. I always have people ask me why I do what I do? How I can be a teacher and a photographer and a wife and a mom. The answer is simple: I love what I do...and I love coffee! I love photography because it allows me to capture beauty and put it back out there for people to see. Like most moms I started taking pictures of my children, but I continue to take pictures because it is my way to be artistic and to freeze that moment. Whatever that moment might be, it is something special and worth freezing.
I have a passion for portraiture and lifestyle photography. I love seeing the beauty in people and things from all different angles. I believe that so much can be captured in a moment through the lens. I look forward to meeting you and capturing your memories.
