El Rojo rainbow part II. Twice today, we had full double rainbows form courtesy of the remnants of tropical storm Rachel. Unfortunately, the 'bows today formed and dissapated very quickly and I wasn't able to set up in time to capture either in its full glory. Still, I liked this image of the El Rojo Ranch better than the composition I took of it last week. It was also nice to see Dry Creek flowing in the foreground after all of the rain we've been getting.

Sooo many rainbows in Sedona this summer and now fall. I caught this one at sunset over Cathedral Rock and Courthouse Butte last night. This is a sign of things to come as we've got 4 more days of rain in the offing starting on Saturday. Can you say El Nino??

Now that the West Fork Trail (north of Sedona) will remain closed until the end of October, there won't be any leaf peeping opportunities there this fall. So here's a shot from back in 2012...it's a bit past where the maintained trail ends.

A quick look at the extended forecast reveals that the monsoon season has come to an end. Here's one final stormy post that I shot back in July during an incredible storm that fired behind Cathedral Rock.

Now it's time to concentrate on autumn shooting!
