Last week I had the honor of photographing Dulce Sedona 's ribbon cutting with Sedona Chamber of Commerce 🎀

The rain held off just long enough for us to celebrate Liz & Ron's incredibly SWEET new addition to Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village! The shop is just as happy, colorful, and sweet as Liz herself! 💟

They always have a line out the door and every single person who walks out has a big smile on their face! How could you not?!

The yummy treats, fun music, bright colors, and friendly staff would make anyone smile - rain or shine! 🍭

If you're in Tlaquepaque, don't skip Dulce! It's an instant pick-me-up and will bring out your inner kid in a candy store vibe🍦

It's National Dog Photography Day and I would be remiss if I didn't post about the privilege of being a shelter photographer.

I've been photographing shelter dogs for almost 20 years, and every dog I meet teaches me a new lesson in love and resilience. I am so grateful so many dogs have opened up to me over the years.

I can't describe how it feels to use my gifts for good. If you haven't tried it, you should. I truly feel like it's my life's purpose - to give voice to the voiceless through art.

If you're considering adopting a dog, please go to The Humane Society of Sedona. Their dog kennels are nearly full and they need all the help they can get getting these beautiful babies seen and saved. All of these dogs are currently available. Some have been there a few weeks, some have been waiting for years to find a family. I love every single one of them.

Please adopt! 🙏 I've seen the difference it's made in both the lives of dogs and the people who give them a second chance. There is nothing like it ❤

Spoiler alert - I stayed 😂

I can’t get enough time with shelter animals, and kitten season makes it even harder to tear myself away!

People don’t understand how I end up spending 4-5 hours of my day off at the shelter, but I think this speaks for itself 🤓

Do what you love, love what you do, and multiply that by dozens of sweet babies soaking up every minute of your attention? Well that’s a recipe for happiness. ❤️📸

Heading up the marketing at the Humane Society of Sedona has me spending even more time at the shelter, and I am not mad about that one bit 🐾

There are so many incredible animals looking for homes and I am in love with them all. Now head to The Humane Society of Sedona or your local shelter and adopt a pet! I promise you’ll fall in love 😘

Well, I’m always a day late and a dollar short, but I would be remiss to not celebrate National Rescue Dog Day! 🐾

I’ve met hundreds (if not thousands) of rescue dogs over the 15 years I’ve worked as a shelter photographer, this is just a handful I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with in 2026!

I can’t always put into words how much it means to me to do what I do. Everyone loves an underdog story, but people don’t always remember that there are thousands of underdogs (literally) with stories of their own, some just right up the street from you.

So I’d like to not only celebrate the dogs whose resilience, love, and playfulness have the ability to pull me from my lowest depth and fill my heart to the brim each week, but also to remind people how EASY it is to make a difference.

Donate. Adopt. Foster. Volunteer. Follow rescues on social. Share their stories. Often the smallest acts of kindness repeated are the ones that make the most impact ❤️

xo 🔥

I've been up to a lot of fun things lately, but one of my favorite projects was a branding shoot for a local business in Tlaquepaque!

Dulce Sedona is pretty much what dreams are made of! The vibrant colors, bumpin' music, and overall happy atmosphere really make you feel like you are a kid in a candy store - no matter your age. From local chocolate to delicious churro sundaes, everything about Dulce will set your senses into overdrive in the best possible way!

Liz & Ron have built something fabulous, which is evident by a constant line out the door! If you haven't stopped in and picked up a sweet treat, you are really missing out. It was so much fun to work with the Dulce team to capture the essence of what they do.

Now go get yourself some ice cream! 🍦🍨
