We closed out Earth Month tucked deep in the Tennessee mountains, by quiet streams and rushing waterfalls, through fields and winding paths in full bloom, drenched in sunlight and the occasional veil of misty mountain rain.
As I gathered my “earth” images for this post, I found myself, as always, overwhelmed in the best way by both the beauty and the abundance. There’s too much to share in a 20 slide post. I’ve carried my beloved (and very heavy) medium format film camera from sea to shining sea and beyond, continually struck by the richness of it all, and the quiet realization that there’s still so much more to see on this treasure of an earth than a lifetime could hold.
So I’ll keep wandering, capturing, and marveling as long as the Good Lord allows.
Here’s to the beauty of this place we call home, and to the creativity and mastery of the One who made it all.
“God saw all that He had made, and it was very good.” Genesis 1:31
