See the world through my lens for a minute.
That’s really all I want out of this post.
And maybe when you see these things, they stir something up inside of you too. A feeling. A little spark of joy. Gratitude. Curiosity. Presence. Whatever it is.
These are such ordinary moments in my day. Chickens waiting for me at the gate. A flower blooming. A few peppers from the garden. My bare feet in the grass.
Seemingly so simple.
But when I actually stop long enough to notice them, there is so much beauty here. Creation. Life. Abundance everywhere.
My life is going through a pretty major transition right now. And somehow, the more I practice being grateful for what is happening right now — even when I don’t know exactly where it’s all leading — the more I see how much I already have. And the more I trust that there is more to come.
It’s a weird time to be alive. There is so much happening in the world and in our dear country, and we consume an incredible amount of it through screens.
But outside of those screens, the grass is still growing.
Flowers are still blooming.
Food is still growing from the earth.
The chickens are still doing chicken things. 😂
People are still loving each other.
Life and death and creation and connection are still happening all around us.
Mother Nature is still here, constantly reminding us to come back and pay attention.
And lately I’ve found myself getting irritated trying to “figure out” how I’m supposed to be on social media. What I should post. How I should say things. Who I’m supposed to attract. What will perform well.
I don’t want to do that anymore.
I want to go back to posting for ME.
Things I find beautiful. Things I’m thinking about. Things that might resonate with some of you or make you curious about something you hadn’t noticed before.
I want to be authentically imperfect.
I want to write captions that sometimes sound a little messed up because sometimes my thoughts ARE a little messed up. 😂
That’s what makes me human.
So anyway… here are my chickens, a flower, three jalapeños and my bare feet in the grass.
This is what abundance looked like to me today. 🌿
