This was one of my favorite maternity sessions I’ve photographed in quite a while.

The plan was to shoot during golden hour, but Seattle weather had other ideas. And honestly, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

The moody skies added so much depth and emotion to the images. Between their beautiful complexions, genuine smiles, and soft, light-colored linens, everything came together in a way that felt effortlessly breathtaking.

Some times you have to pull over on the side of the road, walk through a field ( in flip flops ), get attacked with blackberry bushes to get a shot of the most adorable house that stands in the middle of an open field.
To then just discover a beekeeper who uses it to sell his fresh honey 🍯!

A friend asked if I’d photograph her brother’s wedding. It was a bit last minute, but I happened to be free, so I said yes.

It’s been a few years since my last wedding, and I have to admit, I was curious how it would feel stepping back into that role—making sure I didn’t miss a moment, especially without an assistant by my side.

But the second I walked into the room where the bride was getting ready, I felt the nervous excitement in the air, and everything clicked. I found my rhythm again.

From there, it was a day of running around, anticipating moments, and doing my best to capture all the little things that make a wedding day so meaningful. This couple was surrounded by so much genuine love and admiration. It wasn’t an extravagant celebration—it was simple, heartfelt, and full of the kind of emotion that reminds me why these days matter so much.

A simple wedding… with the biggest feels. 🤍

I was tagged by a fellow photographer to join a selfie weekend challenge, and I couldn’t help but think back to where it all started.

Long before selfies became what they are today, self-portraits were one of the ways I learned photography. I spent countless hours experimenting with light, angles, composition, and timing—using myself simply because I was always available. Those photos weren’t about documenting my life as much as they were about understanding how to create the image I envisioned.

So - I am playing with available light and my face this weekend.

Had an old s nor portrait session pop up on my feed and had to share as it’s one of my favorite’s. Laney Daniels was down for anything during our shoot and we ran around with smoke bombs, kiddie pools and outfit changes! Such a fun day being creative with her 💓
