Hey, super long time since we posted on here. We're a bit more active on Instagram. Anyway, here's some Happy Times Sad Times at the Sunset from last week. They have one more show left and then they're packing it in indefinitely. It's Feb 14 at the Sunset.

One of the reasons I started this page was so that all the bands I photographed could reach a few more people. I hope for this to be a semi-regular feature. Now besides seeing the bands on this page, you can hear them, plus a whole bunch more. There are literally 500,000* bands in Seattle. I only know of a small fraction, so if you, dear reader, have suggestions of bands and songs to put on future lists, please send them my way.

This first list is on Spotify. Future ones will focus on songs on Bandcamp, Youtube, etc. So you don't need to restrict your recommendations to any one platform. They just need to be accessible online somewhere. - John

Antonioni played a surprisingly well-attended show at The Sunset last Wednesday - surprising considering it was a weeknight, not because Antonioni doesn't deserve a crowd. I've seen fewer people in there for some weekend shows compared to this one. The attendees made a smart decision because they got to witness a tight performance- John

Yes, I'm using the cleaner version of their name....The Suffering F-heads are my favorite jazz combo. Admittedly, there wasn't much competition for that title. Normally jazz isn't my thing, but I dig these guys. - John

I dropped by Substation to catch Bud Weather's first show. But plays folkadelic con-fusion - a mix of funk, folk, jazz, and country. (I'm pretty sure he came up with that himself.) It's been a few days since the show, but I still have one of his songs stuck in my head. I'm not complaining. - John

Today we take another look at the handsome and comely members of Wiscon. These are from their record release show at the Funhouse last month. They went with a new setlist - they tore through the Trilogy songs and then onto the new record before finishing out with their (formerly) tradition closer "Between The Eyes" and then into a cover of "Modern Love". As I mentioned when I posted the latest Freeway Park pics it was a great night enjoyed by all. Well, everyone I talked to was enjoying it.

I included a photo of their new CD. It's perfect for autographs, as you can see. - John

Apparently I've forgotten to post this album - P**n Bloopers throwing down at Tacoma Dome (not that Tacoma Dome). It was packed so I stayed in one spot. As a result, this album is highly biased towards band members standing stage right, particularly Morgasmo because he was like two feet away from me the entire show. - John

Last Friday was the release show for Wiscon's latest EP, and the lineup was Wiscon/Skates!/Freeway Park. All three were *on*, making for a great night among old and new friends filled with energy and love.
