This incredible fam. Nearly six years ago, I met Jess and Stefan on their first day of parenthood, and it boggles my mind to think about how much has changed for them since then. Over the years, I've witnessed these two raise their kiddos with such kindness, patience, and grace. I’ve seen them carry humor through the chaos, and positivity through the lows. They inspire me big time, and I sure can't imagine their family any other way.

Reuniting with this old friend was so special. We celebrated Amanda’s babe on the way with a magical photo session, and some sweet time catching up on the side. When these two aren’t off on an epic cycling adventure, you can find them fostering dogs and maintaining their backyard beehives. (Side note: some of the best honey I’ve ever had!) So excited for Amanda and Joe to become parents, the little one is already so lucky.

We often think our most meaningful memories will be the milestones— graduating college, getting your first job, buying a house. But isn’t it the tiny moments that we hold closest to our hearts? It’s not the act of getting the house that brings sentiment, but the years of stories that the walls will come to tell. It's the feeling of arriving home each night to find warmth and security. It’s the sticky notes your partner leaves on the bathroom mirror. It’s the daily act of drinking coffee together followed by a spontaneous dance party in the living room. Don’t you see? It’s not the milestones that make up a life, it’s the little things.

It's been almost 2 years since I've photographed a newborn in the hospital, so these in-home sessions feel more like a gift. This sweet little man is only five days old and already surrounded by so much love.

Married on one of the coldest, wettest days in weeks, and when I think back to this afternoon, all I feel is warmth. Such an honor to capture the wedding of these two incredible humans. ☺

Last month I was lucky to be a part of the most magical intimate wedding on this incredible little lake. The fall colors were just starting to turn, and after a spell of rain, capturing Kelly and Dale’s day felt more like a gift.
