Watching Bella tandem nurse feels like witnessing a superpower. As I gently wean my third child, I’m moving through a tender, sacred transition. Feeding our children from our own bodies—loving them with our whole selves—is a quiet act of resistance, of life, of devotion.

As a mother and a basic human being — seeing children starving in Ga.za, families at the Khmer-Thai border being bombed and all the other atrocities happening in Sudan, Congo, Iran and at our doorstep.. It’s heavy, and I feel it. But I’m also reminded that being human means holding the entire experience and that’s rough. So it’s my dharma to create these tender spaces for reclamation.

Feeding is a basic need, a root ċakra necessity— and forbidding it is an act of evil. Gaza children are our own, these displaced Khmer families are us, free Sudan, Congo, Iran and the very people at your very door step who need care.

Setting the tone with light healing touch of reiki, a Japanese healing modality combined with my Khmer and other eastern ancestral practices . Here, we allow you to get out of your head and into your body. Let go of the pre jitter anxiety of an intimate photography session and allow yourself to tap into your dream state.

When we finally get to have you in front of the camera, it’s a witnessing and co-creation that unfolds. An act of alchemy that we orchestrate together.

Tomorrow, not only do i get to photograph after her post partum healing session recently , but I get to photograph her and her second child (& hopefully her first - that we photographed last year) . It’ll be a special nursing tandem shoot, dreamy !

“ The bo***ir photography ceremony with Dany was a witnessing, revealing, soul-healing homecoming. The irony of it all is that while the reiki, mentorship, and bo***ir sessions pushed me beyond my comfort zone, they brought me back home to myself. The whole ceremony was a mirror of my present and future. Capturing both my present self (who I was in real time) and future self (who I envisioned and embodied myself to be on camera), Dany shared her artistic expertise with ease, compassion, and grace. With her down-to-earth, kind, and inspiring, spiritual presence, I felt confident and formidable self-love during my first ever bo***ir session.

The mentorship session with Dany tapped into my heart space, validating the soul work I’ve been in lately: the inner work of self-trust. Speaking with Dany, I felt like I was speaking into the mirror, with an introspective, self-witnessing. The reiki session was healing and revealing and the soul care I very much needed, as I felt incredibly safe and seen. “ I have never had the privilege of having an intimate photo ceremony before so, I came in with an open mind. I really love Dany’s energy, style and aesthetic and I knew it she was the one who could capture my vision perfectly!

The reiki portion was wonderful, I am a reiki master and rarely allow anyone to do energy work for me. It felt really powerful, cleansing, and helped me drop into my body/calm my nerves before the photoshoot.

I had a wonderful experience for my intimate photography ceremony. We began with a calming and powerful reiki session that led into one full hour of taking photos. I was nervous I wouldn’t know how to pose correctly but Dany guided me through every moment and was so helpful.
