The Foxes Photography

The Foxes Photography Put simply, we're elopement photographers. We help plan, photograph, and document adventure weddings We are Brandon and Gabi Fox, hence, The Foxes.

We're an adventurous and nomadic husband and wife wedding photography team, operating from our 1972 Airstream that we live and travel in. Our work is best described as candid images of love and landscapes. We photograph weddings all over the Pacific Northwest, California, and pretty much anywhere west of the Rockies. The west is the best, what can we say? We’re the kind of photographers that’ll ha

ve a beer with you at the wedding. Not because we love good beer (we do), but because we’re going to be good friends by the time your wedding rolls around. We love meeting new couples and always make it a point to hang out before the wedding. Because we don’t want to just show up and take pictures; we want to have fun and join the party, camera in hand and always ready to capture a genuine moment. We keep things candid and natural, because honestly, who actually likes that awkward posed stuff? People in the 80s, that’s who. More about our work:

The big belly laughs, the romantic smiles at each other, and a love so big it somehow manages to hold its own against the giant cliffs around it 🥰

Hard to believe that we won’t be in Yosemite this year, but we are absolutely going back next fall. Can’t wait for more big laughs and smiles and giant granite cliffs ✨

What a dreamy elopement in the North Cascades 🤩 Cozy cabin-the-woods vibes, old growth forest strolls, colorful wildflower meadows, glassy alpine lakes, scenic hikes above the tree line with endless mountain views in all directions…it’s hard to beat summers up here.

T+L brought so much creativity and heart to this day. Trudy picked up some local flowers and designed her own bouquet and thrifted some vintage glassware from Goodwill for the picnic. They brought along a few of their closest friends who served as the ultimate I-Do crew, assisting with the hair and makeup, officiating, videography, and table setup, plus just being the ultimate hype crew throughout the day.

And then I got to witness the most legit first dance I’ve ever seen out of hundreds of first dances! Trudy is a professional dancer and movement coach (if you couldn’t tell from the perfect form on those dip kisses 🔥) so doing their choreographed first dance was a big part of the day. Major props to Leon who absolutely nailed it 🕺💃🏻 It was a fun challenge to try and capture that movement through the photos. They even performed it a second time after the sun set with the nearly full moon rising above the mountains. We all had so much fun out there, truly a quintessential day out in these magical mountains.

All about that misty foggy moooooooood ☁️☔️ You never know what Mother Nature is gonna throw at you in the mountains, so we always tell our couples to pack both sunscreen and sunglasses, AND puffy jackets and rain layers. As the Nordic proverb goes: there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing 😂

Sometimes you get a heat wave and a thunderstorm in a single evening, so it’s good to be prepared for anything. But a rainy, foggy elopement day is truly so romantic, with swirling clouds and peekaboo mountain views. We love how the fog can totally transform a landscape and add so many shifting layers. And we also appreciate that filtered soft light all day long (perfect for portraits 🤌) Throw in some cute clear umbrellas and you’ve got fun props to puddle-hop with, too.

The more you embrace the mood and have fun with it, the better your photos will be! Some of our favorite days we’ve ever shot had extra spicy weather - here are some pics to prove it 🩵

Scenes from a romantic evening eloping on the Oregon Coast 🌊

It’s hard to describe how free and wild it feels out here. There are so many little coves and cliffs and beaches tucked away along the miles of coastlines, you can always find a little slice to have all to yourselves. Every time we’re out here it feels like we discover something new.

I think the photos are what first bring people to us, but they’re only part of why couples choose us.

The photos are a given. Of course you’ll end up with so many jaw dropping photos that make you stop and say, “Holy s**t... that’s us.” They tell a story we’re really proud of—the happiest couples in some of the wildest, most beautiful places on earth, with neither the people nor the landscape overshadowing the other.

But I think couples choose us because of the experience we help them create. A truly unique, once-in-a-lifetime day where you’re living every second to the fullest—a real adventure with your best friend.

Erica and Stephen’s day in the Dolomites was exactly that.

We started before sunrise and didn’t stop until well after the sun had disappeared behind the mountains. Wildflower fields at their absolute peak. Alpenglow lighting up towering peaks. Hiking high into the alpine. Churches on hillsides. Beers at mountain rifugios. Quiet places for private vows. Ending the day with a first dance as the setting sun broke through the clouds, creating this soft, hazy glow across the mountains. The kind of day that somehow felt both peaceful and completely full at the exact same time.

For the couples who want more from their wedding day... the ones who want something that feels deeply personal, where every moment is spent moving, exploring, discovering new places together, finding awe around every bend, and squeezing every last drop out of the experience...

There’s nothing quite like an elopement.

We feel incredibly lucky that we get to scout these places, piece together days that feel intentional, and create experiences that are every bit as unforgettable as the photos that come from them.

Nearly 10 years in, we still don’t take that trust for granted.

One of the most underrated locations for elopements in Washington has got to be the Olympic Mountains! Mt. Rainier and the North Cascades seem to take all the glory, and we do love those mountains dearly, but the Olympics have a unique kind of magic with their blue mountains, glaciers, and rolling meadows. These mountains melt out a bit earlier than the Cascades, so we love shooting up here in June and early July when everywhere else is still buried in snow. It’s the perfect time to explore Olympic National Park - everything is lush and green and the mountains still have that perfect dusting of snow on the peaks. Sunrise or sunset up among the peaks is a must, and a big bonus is you often have the views entirely to yourself for your elopement (with the exception of a few deer, black bear, or marmot friends)! It truly is a fairytale destination we never get tired of 🌈

Something a lil different, just us, a peak into our own little world together, what our in-between days look like, what our little adventures entail, some film snaps from our most recent trip to the Dolomites 🎞️

Years ago we stopped photographing our personal adventures with digital cameras, shooting photos just kinda felt too much like work for us lugging cameras around and editing a boat load of photos to just have them sitting on our hard drives for a rainy day. But we still wanted to document all the beauty of our life together. So we started shooting everything on film. It’s messy and imperfect, yet raw and beautiful, just like life is. We send our rolls of film in the mail to be developed weeks, sometimes months, after shooting them, often forgetting what we photographed. And then a week later we get this beautiful little surprise of all these fun little moments we created, bringing us right back to it all. If you’ve never shot a roll of film, I highly recommend getting a disposable camera and giving it a try 🖤📸

Anyway, it’s been a really crazy year for us and we’ve hardly had time to share what we’ve been creating with our couples or what our team has been creating with our couples. More coming, we have so much work we’re so proud of that we can’t wait to share. But here’s a fun snapshot of our two weeks in Italy charting new trails, climbing to the top of very famous peaks (plus 10+ points if you recognize it 😉), some very cliche mountain goats on the hillsides, wildflowers blooming in every direction, my v sexy husband in climbing gear and cameras, rifugios nestled in between peaks and cliffs, a dreamy blue hour from one of our elopements here, and some very tasty liquor that I wish we had remembered to pick up in the duty free to bring home. We’re just enamored with this place and are already planning our return 🥰

Is there anything better than wildflower season at Mt. Rainier?! Every summer from late July to August, the meadows explode in a rainbow of colors and textures. We love meandering along the fairytale paths at Paradise and Sunrise with our couples, nerding out over all of the different flowers (lupines, magenta paintbrush, and glacier lilies are my personal faves)!🌼🪻🌷🌸 The sweeping views, mountain layers, alpine lakes, and Rainier towering above it all are truly a photographer’s dream and make for the most magical elopement backdrop. Pair that with some sunrise/sunset alpenglow and you’ve got a picture-perfect postcard scene in the mountains ✨ Counting down the few remaining days until wildflower elopement season returns we’re back out here exploring with couples again!

Hannah here! I finally got to visit the MOST MAGICAL PLACE ON EARTH - the Dolomites (aka my Disneyland) ✨✨ I was vacationing in Italy at the same time Zoe was out there photographing a couple elopements, so I decided to tag along with her and her couple as the BTS hype woman 😆

Zoe and I have always talked about how fun it would be to do an elopement together, so it was so cool to finally make it happen, and in such an incredible place. We had so much fun out there with these two!

Caleb and Danielle brought the Texas flavor to Italy, showing off their two-step dance moves in their cowboy boots. They shared a first look at their cute Bavarian-style hotel in town before we all ventured up to the mountains to explore. After a short hike, we found the perfect meadow for them to share their vows surrounded by cows. You could hear the cowbells ringing throughout the ceremony - the most perfect soundtrack ever 🥹 To cap off the day, we hiked high up into the peaks for sunset, frolicking, dancing, and laughing the night away. The clouds lit up in orange and pink hues as Zoe snapped away, the newlyweds smooched, and I lost my mind taking a thousand iphone photos 😆

It was so inspiring getting to experience a new destination, celebrating with Caleb and Danielle and watching Zoe work her magic. So grateful for the fun memories our little Foxpack fam has made together over the years!
