Here’s a reminder to look in the mirror and double check that your heart is bigger than your ego ♥️ Who are you when nobody’s looking? Sometimes it’s easy to fall into the comparison trap in the social media world where it’s very apparent if somebody has a bigger following (or smaller following). Higher numbers mean more success, right? Higher numbers mean we’re higher on the food chain, right? Blue checkmark? S**t, let me just bow down right now. No! lol. It’s such a weird thing and it’s easy to forget how incredible we are in our own ways. There’s so much more complexity off the screen. Those other things are certainly important in particular ways, maybe more work or sponsorships, but not important when it comes to judging a person’s character, which I think often happens in this Instagram world. We are soooo unique in our own ways! A few things that make me feel unique:
1. I met my boyfriend in Amsterdam
2. We bought a van and road tripped Chile and Argentina for 3 months
3. I’ve experienced hiking at an altitude of 16,355 ft.
4. I literally drove to the end of the world (Ushuaia).
5. I’ve hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
We are all equals, all hanging out on this earth, just trying to get by. When we leave this world we won’t be bringing our Instagram accounts with us. We won’t be bringing our bank accounts with us. Not even our best friends or pets or significant others will be with us. It’s just you—and you’re PLENTY ♥️ And if people make you feel like you’re not enough, then their darkness doesn’t deserve your light.
