There’s something sacred about photographing a wedding not in the grand gestures (though they’re sososo lovely), but in the quiet. The soft in between moments. The unspoken glances. The hands held under the table. The way someone exhales before saying “I do.” As a wedding photographer, those are the moments I live for. That’s where the story really is.
Over time, I’ve come to believe the best wedding photography happens when I let go of control and lean into the natural rhythm of the day. When I become a quiet observer. A fly on the wall. My approach is rooted in intentionality: being fully present, fully aware, and deeply in tune with the energy of the couple and their people. I’m not here to stage love, I’m here to witness it.
And more and more, I find that this kind of honesty thrives best in intimate weddings.
When the guest list is intentionally curated, the room fills with warmth. There’s space for presence. There’s room for silence. And that’s where the camera gets to do its best work not interrupting, but reflecting. Not directing, but documenting.
In intimate weddings, I can photograph vows said under old trees, meals shared around a single table, barefoot dances on quiet patios. I can capture your grandmother’s hands gripping your arm a little tighter. The way your partner looks at you when they think no one’s watching. The hush of the room before you say your vows. These aren’t just aesthetic choices, they’re soul markers.
A wedding, at its core, is an act of choosing. A choice to love deeply, to show up fully, and to move through life together with intention. And intimate weddings allow that act to breathe. To be felt. To be seen clearly, without the noise.
And in those quiet, tender spaces, I promise I see everything that matters.

It’s full on wedding season- the busiest season for most photographers!!! As much as I’m running around like a chicken I’m enjoying every minute of it! 🥰
Reminder that I have 2 more spots for my fall minis on 09/28 in Bothell and still booking a few more weddings for 2026!
