a normal photographer would focus on the bride and groom. meanwhile i’m also in the back zooming in on grandma absolutely LOSING IT in row three 😭👵🏼🩷
bc yes duh, obviously i’m getting the kiss, the vows, the portraits, the first dance, all of those big monumental moments.
but i’m also clocking your mom fixing your veil, your dad pretending he’s definitely not crying, your best friend making a face at you from across the room, your flower girl mentally leaving the ceremony 12 minutes in, and your grandparents holding hands like they’re trying to make me sob
i am, respectfully, in everybody’s business.
your wedding day is moving a MILLIONNNNN miles an hour, and half the magic is happening in places you’re not even looking. that’s where i come in queen
i’m watching the corners. the reactions. the random hugs. the tiny hand squeezes. the “oh my god this is actually happening” faces. the people crying during moments they swore they wouldn’t cry during. your friend from middle school tearing it up on the dance floor
the photos that end up wrecking you later are usually the ones you had ✨NO✨ idea were even being taken.
so yes, you’re the main character.
