I've spoken before about my network of mommy friends that I met online almost 2 decades ago.

We have gone through almost everything together. Marriage, divorce, second marriages, the death of a spouse, the death of a child, cancer, addiction, all of it.

And the reason that we all came together almost 2 decades ago was these precious babies that are about leave the nest. It's so crazy to watch the trajectory of a life from pregnancy, to birth, to elementary school-middle school-high school, and now off to college they go.

We started out together as a collective of pregnant online friends. And now, 18 years later, we're still creating our stories together and forming our legacies while our baby birds take flight.

It's bittersweet, but I love these women so much even if I don't see them as often as I should.

Happy graduation week to those mamas who have babies graduating in 2026, I see you. I love you. Look at what you did! You successfully raised that incredible human. You did great! I am sending you all the tear-stained hugs!

And buckle up and get ready to cry with me mamas who have soon-to-be seniors who are graduating in 2027. I've been on the watchful end of a graduation season for almost a decade now, and this is gonna be a wild ride. A wild, emotional ride. 💜🫶🏻

Sometimes, when I'm focusing so hard on one aspect of my growing business, I let other parts slide by the wayside.

I think that we can all relate to that. Especially when embarking upon the final months of your child's senior year of high school. They just got the letter of requirements that they're (you're) responsible for over the next couple of months.

The list is long. You had no idea. You don't remember this many requirements for graduation when it was your turn to graduate, and yet your child is inundated with all of these things that need to get done before the middle of June.

Little things slide by the wayside so easily when you're in this busy season. It's easy to forget all of the little details during this season.

But you're not alone. I'm on this journey with you. Not just as a photographer, but also as a mother. This is a wonderful, bittersweet time in our lives. And even if I'm not popping up on your feed every day, I'm still here to help in any way I can.

So, if you decided a little late that you actually want that senior session, or if you forgot to book one altogether, it's not too late. And this milestone is worth capturing!

I am obsessed with cherry blossoms.

I think they are the most ethereal, beautiful, incredible plants to ever exist on the Earth. But the unfortunate thing is that cherry blossom season doesn't always line up with senior portrait session needs.

Seniors would have to wait until they were about to graduate to have their session, or they would do portraits their junior year in order to capture the cherry blossoms. And doing senior portraits your junior year seems a little weird, right?

Unless, your senior portrait session was divided into multiple sessions, so that you could capture the beauty of every season during your senior year.

I'm working on some ideas over here… I can't wait to share them.

Thinking about senior photos already? Good — you’re right on time.

If you’re a Class of 2027 student, now is the time to start planning your senior portraits — not later, not “when things calm down,” and definitely not after summer fills up.

The best dates for Seattle high school senior photography book months in advance because lighting, weather, and seasonal locations all matter. Waiting can mean missing peak blooms, golden hour sunsets, and your ideal session vibe.

Booking early means you get:

✨ First choice of dates
✨ Time to plan outfits + locations
✨ Flexible payment timeline
✨ Less stress during senior year chaos

Senior year gets busy fast — let’s get your senior photography session checked off your list now.
