I photographed Covid Vaccine researcher and new mother Megan O’Connor for on - such an important perspective of a story to me. With the attempt to politicize this pandemic across the world, the language used to describe scientists and healthcare advocates is often used as if these people aren’t the same as we are. The medical world eats what we eat, breathe the air we breathe, and want a better world for their children just like us. It blows me away how easy it seems to be to forget that. Ebo Barton is a Seattle poet who typically taught workshops at colleges and performances, but by March the next 3 months of their bookings were canceled. In order to make up on the lost income, Ebo picked up part time work repairing ATM machines, and got back into baking. One of two stories I photographed for about the professional impact Covid has had on America’s working class. Thank you and for bringing me in to expand this story.

Spent a morning at Bainbridge island with Philippe Boucher, a former Microsoft employee who’s whole team was laid off after he organized a union to combat the temp agency and global corporation that hired him. He’s also written books about the process. His experience is part of a bigger story published by on the lives of the working class under these massive corps, and what Covid has been doing to US.
