new york bridal fashion week, we meet again... just kidding, it was my first time ! ✨

as a seattle wedding photographer, i don’t get to new york bridal fashion week every day, so when i got a last-minute press pass to cover francesca miranda’s autumn 2027 show with southern bride, i jumped at it. francesca miranda is a colombian designer known for her hand-worked, artisan craftsmanship, and it showed in every piece. the collection was pure romance, lace layered on lace, hand-beading catching the light, feathers moving with every look as the models circled right in front of us. seeing bridal design at this level up close was something else entirely. huge thank you to the incredible team at southern bride, sherra, lindy, gigi, and bailey, for making this happen and for such a warm, wonderful experience. more to come!!! ♥️

🥂 a&l’s whidbey island wedding at fireseed catering was easily one of the most relaxed yet joyful celebrations of the season.

a defied tradition in a black dress for a fall day surrounded by blooming dahlias and beautiful views, with an extended cocktail hour that had all 150+ guests feeling the love. fireseed catering brought it all together as a whidbey island wedding venue with impeccable staff, incredible catering, florals, and desserts, all under one roof. huge congratulations to a&l, here’s to many happy returns 🥂

forget flower girls, k&r had bubble children with bubble guns instead! 🫧♥️

k&r matched on hinge and quickly realized they had a mutual friend who not so subtly nudged them into an actual date, four years and two cats later (hi tofu and jiji) they said “i do” in the garden courtyard at the hall at fauntleroy in west seattle. they did a ring warming, passing the rings through all 95 guests before the ceremony, then three kids blew bubbles as they walked back down the aisle after their first kiss as married, way better than flower petals if you ask me!

happy forever after, k&r, we loved every minute of your day! 🥂

golden hour like this is why the edgewater hotel is one of the best seattle wedding venues for photography. 🥂✨

a & w said their vows and celebrated all night in the edgewater’s olympic ballroom, where fir beam ceilings and a wall of windows frame elliott bay and the olympic mountains. earlier in the day we walked out along the waterfront for portraits, then wrapped up golden hour with a few final frames on their room’s private terrace as the sky turned pink and gold over the sound. it’s exactly the kind of light that makes this over water venue a favorite for seattle wedding photography.

a STUNNING micro wedding at the corson building, a downpour like seattle rarely sees, and then a rainbow that showed up like it had somewhere to be 🌈✨

this georgetown seattle wedding was all about intimacy over excess. dinner was set across multiple tables in the corson building’s ivy-covered courtyard, that lush, vine-wrapped brick backdrop doing a lot of the heavy lifting on its own. the florals were a showstopper too, blue hydrangea and deep purple callas in soft, moody arrangements that felt right at home against all that greenery.

partway through dinner the sky opened up into a hard 30 minute downpour, which is genuinely rare for seattle, we’re used to a light mist, not this! by the time it passed, a rainbow had broken out across the street, and we dropped everything to run over and catch it before it faded. moments like that don’t happen on command, which is exactly why they end up being some of the best parts of the day. the corson building did double duty as venue and caterer, so the space and the meal felt seamless.

michelle lassaline set up her “you as an animal” live painting station, giving guests hand-painted portraits to take home as their own little piece of the day. it’s the kind of wedding that reminds us bigger isn’t always better, sometimes the best celebrations are the smallest ones, rainbows included.

🎞️📷 this is what happens when film magic and florals collide ✨

i captured this double exposure entirely in-camera on 120mm film with my holga, layering my bride walking down the aisle with the lush florals at carnation farms. no editing tricks here, just old-school analog photography and a whole lot of happy accidents. this is one of my favorite things about shooting film for weddings in seattle: every roll holds a little surprise, and this frame turned painterly, one of my favorites from the whole day. that dreamy, slightly imperfect quality is exactly why i keep a in my bag as a seattle film wedding photographer. xo

🟥🟧🟩 an autumn palette at the end of summer for n and s’s snohomish wedding at maroni meadows!

warm oranges and reds against the lush greens of the venue, this property is so green and wild it almost feels like stepping into a hobbit house! s’s trinidadian heritage showed up beautifully, from bold, colorful fashion on her side of the family to a few traditional desserts on the table. the dance floor after was pure chaos in the best way. seattle wedding photography by sound and sea photography and films.

no condition is necessarily better than another: golden hour, overcast skies, a single window in a dark room. each one just asks something different from me.

spring in the pacific northwest has this quiet diffused glow that turns a room into something you’d hang on a wall. as a seattle wedding photographer that’s all i need.
