📷🤩❤️📷🤩❤️📷🤩 Grateful with my feature in the nature photography issue of the West Palm Beach, Florida-based publication, TA**US, titled - Revillagigedo Island.

Living on an island in SE Alaska was an amazing experience! The majority of the island consists of the Tongass National Forest - the largest US National Forest. The island residents were kind, friendly, and very eager to share the island’s history.

As a child, chasing fireflies or lightning bugs was so much fun. Last week, I went out on a couple late and very hot humid nights 🥵, to not chase fireflies, but to adore them. 🥰 As an adult, they still made me giggle.

We (humans) are losing these beauties with all the pesticides and other 💩 that is sprayed in yards. 😔

A few weeks ago, many parts of Ohio were welcoming the return of the seasonal Mayflies. 😁

Mayflies belong to the order Ephemeroptera which translates to “short lived.” Their presence indicates that the water quality is clean. The millions of mayflies that are seen all over everything are the adults. They are out for a very short amount of time - for up to a few days - with one objective which is to reproduce. 🥰

One particular day, a mayfly allowed me to photograph it. And, it was a very beautiful and graceful looking model.
