I don’t know about you, but there’s something about being by a body of water that’s just so invigorating yet calming at the same time. Whenever I need to just stop everything and THINK, I ask myself, “Can I get to water or mountains faster?” 😆 I love vein so in tune with nature. That’s where my heart is💖🏔

Our decent from Webb Mountain. I was terrified during this summit — basically on all fours climbing up with snowshoes, ice axe in hand. I remember there was a moment of legit terror — what the HECK was I doing?? Why would ANYone put themselves in this situation?? I then said to myself in my head, “BEAST MODE!” In a moment of fear I conjured a new mindset: that of being a badass, superhero mountain women!😆💪🏻 After that, it was like a switch went off in my head. I got a surge of adrenaline, and pounded my way up to the summit with my group. Honestly, our greatest dreams are always within our grasp — it’s our heads that get in the way, telling us we can’t or I’m too scared. Gather the courage and strength to change your mindset! Have key phrases you say (one of mine is Beast Mode). Whatever works, use that fire inside of you to achieve your dreams!!🙏🏻🏔🎉

A smile as wide as my face after completing the hike to Camp Muir under the time required to summit Mt. Rainier. This was a test of not only physical, but mental endurance, as well. I am so thankful for the supportive team I had that day. I’ve always hated taking tests of any kind, and even though I have done Muir before this was a huge a achievement. I shaved nearly an hour off my original time!! Keep pushing yourself beyond what you *think* your limits are — I guarantee something greater than you could ever imagine lies on the other side.
Can’t wait to summit Rainier in July!!! 🏔🙏🏻✨💖

Icicle Ridge/4th of July Creek Trail - Alpine Lakes Wilderness, WA 2014 - this is a fun summer hike to if you Camp the night before. We camped at Eightmile Campground, if I remember correctly. It was HOT, but the dip in the river after made it all worth while :) There had been a forest fire, hence the blackened wood. I enjoyed the color contrast between these two subject. Almost like a ‘life & death’ representation. Had to capture✨
