Cribbage, sunshine, and dunking into the cold water. I had a blast capturing Katie and Evan’s engagement at Discovery park.

We started with a game of cribbage in the upper section, one of my favorite. Most people think cribbage is a game for old folk, but Katie mentioned, “we’re just practicing for when we get old”. I liked that thought, and feel like it can apply to so much in life.

We proceeded down to the beach with another outfit to catch some sunset vibes, while the PNW still permits us… they braved the cold water together and splashed around a bit before popping some ch*****ne 🍾 thankfully I didn’t have to get in this time around 😭

On another note, over the next 7 days I have 5 weddings - please wish me luck! 🍀😼

Coming full circle with David and Haylee from their proposal all the way to their wedding has been a blessing. (Swipe to the end to see how it all started)

David contacted me a year and a half ago for his and Haylee’s proposal on the beautiful Olympic coast. It was moody and twilight coded, just how we expected it to be. It was only right that they flew back from Chicago to experience the PNW once again for their wedding.

This micro wedding was so fun. The details of the Agate beach lodge, a venue I had never been to, were amazing. Sweeping cliffs and open ocean surrounded us in all directions.

Both David and Haylee poured their identities into this day, each putting a part of themselves into everything. I’m happy they did, because they’re fun as ****! And a fun couple make for a fun wedding for everyone involved.

A wedding where each partners identity shone through in spectacular ways.

Connor and Nadia made everyone feel special, including me, on their wedding day. It’s easy to see why all those around them love them so much.

From Nadia’s family GROWING and arranging all their flowers, Connor’s Mom hand painting every glass, and their friend baking all their desserts, they included pieces of themselves in every contribution. As I write this caption I just remember being wowed everywhere i looked - genuinely hard to put into words.
(That’s why photos are worth thousands 😉).

Nadia and Connor’s wedding was a reflection of them, and also of the ones they love and I am happy I could be a part.

I’ve always wanted to shoot a proposal in this location, but had yet to find someone adventurous enough to explore such a primitive trail. Overjoyed to capture something so special!🥹

Zach hiked this trail multiple times, planning every detail with a scavenger hunt including notes from family and friends, Polaroids, and little trinkets.

Madeline was clearly in awe, unable to believe it (and probably still, as am I) 😭

Truly magical.
