The epitome of ‘being present’. That was Bridgette + Isaac’s elopement day. From the beginning, it was so clear how intentional they wanted to be in the start of their marriage. From sweet, soft moments in the redwoods, to dramatic, windswept adventure on the southern Oregon coast, their day was filled with experiences that they put deep thought into ahead of time.

This is the beauty and advantage of eloping, especially in nature. The intentionality is practically built in. Because almost anything is possible and there are no rules, the decisions you make and what you choose to include becomes all that more significant. It becomes truly *yours*.

Yet another day that I’ll never forget and that made a huge impact on me. It never gets old, sharing these memories with you all. Thank you, B+I. And so many congrats again 🥂

A whole entire year since this beautiful, sweet day, and I still get a little teary when I look at these photos.

Mara + Kasey eloped in one of my favorite places in the PNW, doing all the things they most love doing together. Climbing, nature, movies, ice cream…it doesn’t get much better than this! After their adventures, they met up with family at the courthouse to make it official. And many more sweet moments ensued.

This day was so much more than this summary of the things that happened…but it’s hard to describe the way an event like this *feels* sometimes. It encompassed *so many* feelings and ways of being together - playfulness, tenderness, peaceful silence, enthusiastic laughter, shared contentment at truly being in a moment together…it was all this and so much more.

M+K, I’ll never be able to express how grateful I am that we met that day at Skamania Lodge and how much it means to me to have gotten to document this time in your lives together. Thank you so much for inviting me to be a part of it.

A very happy first anniversary to you 🥂 I can’t wait to hug you again during your bigger celebration soon!

Eloping means choosing the places, experiences, and moments that truly mean something to you. It means prioritizing slowness, intention, and presence. And it leaves you space and opportunity for real life magic to occur.

I have so much to share from this day. So much. But until I can get myself settled from lots of travel this month to share more, I simply couldn’t keep myself from sharing at least this tiniest snippet of the incredible and unforgettable energy of this adventure.

So full of joy to be wishing these two a happy first anniversary. One year ago, we met up with a small group of their family members at Hoyt Arboretum to sign their marriage license, take some portraits, and generally celebrate their sweet love story.

In the early morning hours, the light in the redwoods was so peaceful. It felt like we had the whole park to ourselves, and it was a true honor to spend a few hours with these two, learning about their journey together and all their planned adventures ahead (of which there were - and still are, I’m sure - many!).

Ben + Eddy: Thank you both for inviting me to be a part of these moments and helping you relive this milestone in your lives for all your future years together. Looking back at this day makes me so happy, and I know that you two will continue to explore, do great things, and overall build a beautiful life together. What a privilege to have documented a little slice of it all.

One year ago today, in similarly moody weather as we've had this weekend, I had the honor of documenting Sam + Jordan's beautiful, intimate wedding day. We started out with meandering around Hoyt Arboretum, which was particularly gorgeous with all the fall colors and mist hanging between the trees. There, they had the sweetest ceremony before heading out to our second location, Ponzi Vineyards. Oh my goodness, how magnificent the vines were! And how cozy and fun the celebration, commemorating the start of these two sweet humans' marriage.
It's always a bit hard to believe it's been a whole year, especially when going back through images. S+J's day is no exception; it feels like yesterday, in the best way!
S+J, a very happy first anniversary to you two. I hope this first year has been filled with much adventure and joy, and I know your future together will a marvelous one. Cheers to all the adventures still to come for you together! 🥂

October is such a good month - so many anniversaries to celebrate! And today is Kristin + Chris'! What a STUNNING day their wedding was. The PNW showed off with sunshine and perfect temps. The light was beautiful, the location was gorgeous (as always 💚). And most importantly, the people were amazing. K+C surrounded themselves with their nearest and dearest, and it was so lovely seeing the love and support of all these wonderful folks for these two sweet humans. This wedding ended an extended stay in NW Washington for me last year, and it was such a magnificent way to cap off that travel...in one of my favorite places, doing this work that I love, with and for such kind, beautiful people.

A very happy anniversary to you two, K+C! I hope the last year has been full of grand memories and lots of adventures. To many many more! 🥂

Oh, Connor + Kathryn, what can I possibly say today that properly encapsulates how grateful I am for you two. I can’t believe it’s been a whole year. A year since the start of this adventure…gathered with your family on a gorgeous PNW fall evening, overlooking a lake while you said your vows.

And I suppose it’s technically a year *tomorrow* since we adventured together at my favorite mountain, where you both conquered those switchbacks, shared cookies and letters, and capped it all off with the most beautiful, quiet moment sharing private vows with one another as the sun went below the horizon. I’ll still always think of you both when I walk that same trail forevermore…

Happy anniversary you two. Thank you for choosing me, and letting me be a part of such an incredible celebration. I’m so thankful I got to witness and document this part of your life. And I’m even more thankful to get to call you friends now ❤️
