An osprey attacks its prey at the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks - Ballard Locks
This series of photos was taken on 09/03/26 with some clouds in the sky and a little rain falling.
Fun fact: Ospreys have three eyelids per eye, including two outer lids and a clear third eyelid that acts as underwater goggles when diving for fish as you can see if you look closely at the "moment of impact" shot. You can also make out the unfortunate fish underwater.
