I’ll always have a soft spot for sunny wedding days.

As a photographer, sunlight gives me so much to play with. Light dancing through trees. Long shadows across the ground. Veils catching the sun. Quiet moments wrapped in gold during golden hour.

Every wedding day is beautiful in its own way.

But when the forecast calls for sunshine from start to finish, I get a little extra excited.

Because I know we’re about to make some magic together. ☀️

Sneak peek from the first wedding I photographed this season. 🤍

After a much-needed season of slowing down, resting, and spending extra time with my kids, stepping back into a wedding day felt a little like opening the windows after a long winter.

Familiar.
Refreshing.
Good for the soul.

And somehow S&P’s wedding felt like the gentlest way to return.

There’s always something special about the first wedding of the season. The nervous excitement while packing my bags the night before. The feeling of picking up my cameras again. The quiet reminder of why I love documenting people in love for a living.

Not just the big moments.
But the small in-between ones too.

The deep breath before walking down the aisle.
Hands reaching for each other without thinking.
Friends laughing in the background while the sun slowly disappeared.

I drove home that night feeling grateful.
For this work.
For trust like this.
For another season of stories waiting to be told.
