Sneak peek from the first wedding I photographed this season. šŸ¤

After a much-needed season of slowing down, resting, and spending extra time with my kids, stepping back into a wedding day felt a little like opening the windows after a long winter.

Familiar.
Refreshing.
Good for the soul.

And somehow S&Pā€™s wedding felt like the gentlest way to return.

Thereā€™s always something special about the first wedding of the season. The nervous excitement while packing my bags the night before. The feeling of picking up my cameras again. The quiet reminder of why I love documenting people in love for a living.

Not just the big moments.
But the small in-between ones too.

The deep breath before walking down the aisle.
Hands reaching for each other without thinking.
Friends laughing in the background while the sun slowly disappeared.

I drove home that night feeling grateful.
For this work.
For trust like this.
For another season of stories waiting to be told.

Itā€™s been a while since Iā€™ve introduced myself here, but with so many ā€œbigā€ numbers hitting this year, it felt like the right time to say hello again. šŸ‘‹

Iā€™m a mom to two little explorers (currently 7 and 5) who keep me on my toes. Looking through these photos made me realize how much I love capturing their world, even if it means there are fewer photos of me in the frame than Iā€™d like!

2026 is shaping up to be a big one:
ā€¢ Decade of Love: Celebrating 10 years of marriage this year. Woohoo!
ā€¢ The Big 4-0: Iā€™ll be joining the 40s club in October!
ā€¢ New Notes: Iā€™ve recently started practicing/learning the piano again. Itā€™s a challenge, but so rewarding.
ā€¢ Current Obsession: If Iā€™m not with the kids, Iā€™m buried in a novel. I just finished Project Hail Mary and Iā€™m still thinking about itā€”canā€™t wait to go see the movie as well! If you have book recs, send them my way!

During this slow season, Iā€™ve been leaning hard into some much-needed mental health breaks and physical recovery. Iā€™ve been focusing on yoga in the mornings and eating well, but most importantly, I finally saw a physical therapist for my shoulders. They were absolutely screaming at me by the end of last year!

Iā€™m happy to report they feel so much better now, and Iā€™m feeling refreshed and ready to jump back in. I canā€™t wait to celebrate with all my 2026 couplesā€”and Iā€™ve officially started taking bookings for 2027, too!

Soft silhouettes and Spring fever as we are having very gloomy and rainy Spring here in Seattle.

Looking back at this April 2024 session and feeling inspired all over again. Itā€™s impossible not to share these when the cherry blossoms start to show up.

Hereā€™s to hoping the sun takes the hint and makes an appearance soon. Until then, Iā€™ll just be over here living in this dreamscape.

This is still one of my favorite engagement sessions, where the light, the wind, and the water all seamlessly converged to create the perfect mood for these two.

From black lace and combat boots on the muddy flats to sleek neutrals in the sun, this session was a masterclass in effortless chemistry. We let the landscape do the heavy lifting, and it certainly didnā€™t disappoint.

High contrast, high energy, and a whole lot of soul.
