Echoes of DLena is a quiet, evolving space rooted in photography, mindfulness, and creative exploration. I previously worked in semi-professional photography, but due to health challenges, I’ve stepped away from that path. Today, this page reflects a more personal and intentional journey—photography as a healing practice rather than a profession. I am currently exploring creative techniques using

my Sony A7III and the Lensbaby Velvet 28 lens, allowing curiosity, softness, and imperfection to guide each image. My work is inspired by Zen photography—slowing down, being present, and honoring what is in front of me in the moment. This page is no longer a business, but a hobby and creative refuge—a place to connect with fellow photographers, share learning experiences, and grow together through visual storytelling. As the sun quietly disappeared beyond the marina, the boardwalk settled into evening stillness.

The boats rested gently in the water while reflections carried the last light of the day across the harbor like soft brushstrokes.

There is something peaceful about marinas at dusk.
The quiet after movement.
The calm after work is done.

I stood there for a long moment simply watching the light dance across the water while the evening air wrapped around everything in silence.

A reminder that not every beautiful moment needs words.
Sometimes we are only meant to stand still long enough to feel it.

The dock moved gently beneath my feet as the evening settled over the marina.

Cold air wrapped around the water, reflections drifting softly beside the boats while a quiet seal watched from nearby as if sharing the moment with me.

There was something deeply peaceful about standing there—
surrounded by stillness, listening to the soft movement of the water and watching the fading light settle into the reflections below.

Some places do not ask for attention.
They simply invite us to pause long enough to feel them.

This was one of those moments.

This delicate blue flower caught my attention immediately—soft petals dancing in the garden light like something from a dream.

As I paused to capture the moment, a tiny bee suddenly appeared as if it wanted to join the photograph too.

A small photo bomb from nature itself. 🐝

Moments like this remind me why I love walking through gardens with my camera in hand. There is always something unexpected waiting quietly for us when we slow down enough to notice.

At the far end of an open green field sat this quiet little bench beneath the trees—softly surrounded by spring blooms and gentle light.

It felt welcoming even from a distance.

The kind of place that invites you to slow down, open a favorite book, and stay awhile with a warm London Fog tea in hand while the world quietly moves around you.

During my walk through the garden, this small corner felt like a reminder that peace does not always ask for attention. Sometimes it simply waits for us to notice it.

On Mother’s Day, my son and I wandered quietly through the botanical garden, taking in the beauty that God placed before us. Then suddenly—these delicate blue blooms appeared like a small gift waiting to be discovered.

For a moment, I felt like a child again.

Lately I’ve been slowing down and allowing myself to *practice softness*.

These were created quietly in my living room while learning the character of my new Lensbaby Velvet 56. Instead of chasing sharpness, I wanted to explore feeling… letting petals dissolve into light, color, and form until the flower became almost abstract.

For years I often tried to create this softness later in Photoshop with my macro lens. But this lens is teaching me something different — to see the image more gently in-camera and to trust the mood unfolding in front of me.

Still learning. Still experimenting.
And grateful to share the journey with such a creative photography community 🤍
