Summer definitely means lots of outdoor activities with the dogs, so having a good bathtime routine is a must in our house. We love Natural Rapport’s new grooming line (just released this month!). It’s 100% naturally derived, and the pups smell great (none of that wet dog smell 🤢). We’re especially fans of the ear wipes - although Mylo loves to clean Susie’s ears on the daily, the ear wipes are a great alternative LOL 😂

Strutting my way through the week 🐾

Over the weekend we were able to get out to see a gorgeous waterfall and it was exactly what my heart needed. Escaping the everyday stresses, chores, and responsibilities to be one with nature. It also gives me an excuse to take my camera out. Gosh it’s been too long!
I hope we can do more of this before the summer ends ☀️🌲🥾

How to help your dogs beat the heat this summer ☀️🐕

Don’t walk or exercise them in the heat of the day

Try different water activities. We love taking our pups paddle boarding!

A nice frozen treat or even ice cubes help cool them down while keeping them hydrated

Always provide fresh water. As a bonus, we like to supplement our water with Natural Rapport’s doggy mouthwash to both keep them hydrated, AND keep their teeth clean and breath fresh!

So picturesque, it’s like a fairytale ✨

Versailles is one of those places EVERYONE recommends as must see when visiting Paris as a perfect day trip. However, they don’t talk about how difficult it is with a baby.. 🙃 let’s just say going through the palace was a bit of a disaster, so we pretty much skipped the whole thing to deal with our little one having a bit of a meltdown.
But what you’re seeing here is outside the palace of Versailles, within the palace gardens, in Marie Antoinette’s hamlet. This area was BEAUTIFUL and easily my favorite part of that day. She created these gardens to mirror a village and working farm (and in fact, still is a working farm with crops still being harvested). This fairytale village hosted lots of parties back in the late 1700s. The last photo shows her residence which was pretty beautiful as well. I only wish we could have enjoyed it a little longer - it would have been the perfect place to have a picnic!

🚨 PSA for every pet parent: Tomorrow’s fireworks are fun for us… but they can be one of the most stressful nights of the year for our pets. Here’s what we’re doing to prepare:

✨ Exercise them earlier in the day. A long walk, game of fetch, or mental enrichment session before the fireworks start can help your pet burn off energy and settle down more easily later in the evening.
✨ Create a cozy, quiet space indoors with the TV or a fan on to help muffle the noise.
