some of my favorite moments happen when couples stop trying to take a good photo and just start enjoying each other 🌊

people always ask if we need to shoot “golden hour” for the light to look good.

truth is, harsh daylight gets a bad reputation it doesn’t deserve. those strong shadows aren’t something to avoid, they’re what gives a photo depth and dimension

this family session with the rogel family proves it: the midday sun, real shadows, real connection, and still so much warmth in every frame 🤍

so no, we don’t have to chase the “perfect” light to get beautiful photos. we just have to know how to use what’s there 📸

proof that even when your dream location doesn’t cooperate, wonder finds you anyway🍃

hannah and adam planned a mt. rainier shoot rain or shine but once we reached the top, we were swallowed in fog. so we headed back down and found a forest pathway glowing green with moss and mist then stumbled on a hidden cabin and an old well tucked into the trees 🪵🕯️
