Back in March, I felt kinda lost and was driving, mentally marking the most gorgeous blooming trees, but I only came back to one. I spent like 30 minutes walking around it. By the time I got back to the car, someone appeared out of nowhere in the 7/11 parking lot and asked me, “Why are you taking photos?”

I gestured toward the tree and told him to look at how beautiful it was. It only hit me later that maybe this weirdly direct question was the jump I needed (simply delivered).
