The Bloom Edit had a lot of anticipation. As with every art project, there are pieces that go as planned, and others that come as a surprise. In the end, I’m proud of what we created. This project was a real partnership that started with me and Holly Berry. Knowing we would have a big day in store, we got Holly’s team at aNaturalDesign.com involved, as well as two of my favorite hair & makeup artists - Jessica Rockwell Hair & Makeup and Kat St John. To top it all off, my friend and photography colleague Amy Cooper made the trip up north to help out and photograph me. And of course Art Grauer was there to help out along the way too. The experience gave us some truly memorable moments, and I’m excited for the next project!

It was great to see so many people at the North City Jazz Walk yesterday! Thank you to everyone who stopped by and posed in our big Polaroid frame. It’s important to pause and notice the fun in your life!

Rissa and Lori are sisters. Thirteen years older than Lori, Rissa played a big role in raising her younger sister. She jokingly says that she used up all of her mothering on Lori, and never wanted kids of her own. They grew up together in California, and now live in distant corners of the country - Rissa here in Washington and Lori in Florida. Despite the miles that separate them, they’ve never stopped being in each other’s corner.
