He’s here any time now. Watching you raise this little human inside of you has been a journey and it’s another example of how strong, caring, and amazing of a person you are. I wish that I could’ve taken the nausea, aches, and the symptoms away for you but let’s be honest, no man could ever endure what you had to endure for the past 9 months 😩. I love you so much, and the life we’ve built is something I am in awe of every single day. To my son, it’s been fun talking to you and seeing you move around Mom’s belly. I can’t wait to raise you right, get you in your first pair of Js, build your first computer, play games with you, and watch you grow into your own person ❤️

This past weekend, I was reminded of how lucky we are to be surrounded by the most amazing family and friends.

To everyone who took the time out of their day and make the effort and spend it with us at Zayn’s baby shower, to everyone who contributed gifts as well as sweet thoughts and notes to us, we are so thankful for all of you. You continue to show up for us, and we love you.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. That village made an appearance for us 🥹.

To Phavy—continuing to watch you grow, become the mother of our son, and be there with you each day, I am forever in awe of your strength, love, and compassion. I am such a lucky guy, and Zayn is so lucky to be your son. I know your Mom would be so proud of the woman you’ve grown to be and continue to be every day.

This past holiday season, Phavy and I were beyond excited to share with everyone that we were expecting a baby. The timing of it was definitely unexpected but this was something we had wanted for a while and we were so happy with the news.

Unfortunately, we experienced a miscarriage and have been taking the time to process this loss and have been trying to heal.

Miscarriage surely has some taboo around it for something that happens more often than we think and should be talked about more. It’s never anyone’s fault and unfortunately is out of our control.

The next time you pass judgement on someone who had a miscarriage or playfully ask when someone is going to have a baby, really think about it before you speak, ask, or tease.

Phavy has been so strong throughout this whole process and I literally cannot imagine being in her shoes. Having not only your emotions go through all of this but your body as well is something I could never endure. I love you to the moon and back, and we’ll meet our little Clementine again one day 💛
