I bought my first camera in September of 2024, packed it up, and took it on my family’s vacation. I had absolutely no clue what I was doing 😂 Not a clue. But I knew one thing: I LOVED taking photos. I always have. And my favorite people to photograph? My family. Hands down. 🧡
Today, I looked back at some of those very first family photos I took in 2024, and I couldn’t help but notice the growth. 🥹 Growth in my skills. Growth in my little business. Growth in my confidence. Growth in the way I see the little things I once might have overlooked.
But more than anything, I realized how much my family has grown, too.
The people in these photos are changing. We’re growing, learning, making memories, and moving through seasons that we’ll never get back. And that’s one of the biggest reasons I love photography so much.🧡
It isn’t just about taking a “good picture.” It’s about documenting the people we love while we’re right in the middle of life. The chaos, the laughter, the little hands, messy hair, and all the seemingly mundane moments that make up our days.
Because someday, these mundane moments will be the moments we wish we could go back to.
I’m so thankful for how much I’ve grown over these last two years, both personally and as a photographer. I’m thankful for every family who has trusted me to document a little piece of their story, and I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and capturing it all. 🫶🏼
If you’ve booked a session, recommended me, shared my work, or simply followed along—thank you. Truly. It means so much to me🧡
