May is always the busiest time of year for me. Between baseball, end of the school year shenanigans and photos, it’s chaos, but a good kind.

On Thursday, I was working my last stand shift of the season when I saw my Braylen up to bat. I’m watching out the window (behind home plate) and he smashed the ball. I’m watching it in disbelief as it goes over the fence right near my logo. My baby hit his first home run ever— out of the park AND at his own field. The feeling that overcame me; I will never forget it. As a parent, these are the moments that make you so proud to see your kid accomplish. On a side note, we have always told him to always run hard and never watch the ball. He did just that because you can see him turn around to his first base coach and ask where the ball landed. He thought he hit a ground rule double. 🤣💀

I have started sending out some little league photos. All Tball should be out by the end of this holiday weekend. 🤗

For those with a mini booked for tomorrow, you should’ve received an email stating that we are moving it to Sunday, May 31st, due to weather. I was going to bump it up a half an hour, but we’re going to keep the same timeframe, so nobody has to move their times around.

“Are you willing to travel?”

You don’t have to ask me twice! If that means I get to work with new locations and just go with the flow of what’s calling out to the artistic eye, I’m game. Jim Thorpe now has my heart.

This session is what I needed. I’ll be the first to admit that I get into this slump each year where I feel like my work is no good anymore and I just need that spark to fuel the confidence fire and that’s what this was. I had some happy tears welled up in the eyes because I just knew these were going to make me feel something.

I feel like I channeled my inner Eric Boylan Photography today. He takes a beautiful cinematic approach and has this mesmerizing way of integrating reflections and uncommon light sources into play within his work. I also admire the way he compositions his landscape-orientated photos, so I pushed myself and had some fun with what I was given. I’m always inspired more each time he posts something new up.
