One of the greatest gifts photography has given me is the opportunity to use something I love to give back to others. 💛
For the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with One Day To Remember, an organization that holds such a special place in my heart. They give families facing the unimaginable reality of a parent’s terminal illness something truly priceless…a day to simply be together. A day filled with adventure, laughter, love, and memories that can be held onto forever.
Today, that adventure took us to Adventure Aquarium, and what a beautiful day it was! From watching sharks swim right above our heads to crossing the shark bridge and marveling at all the colorful fish, there were so many moments of excitement, wonder, and joy. 🦈🐠
I’ve been incredibly blessed in this life. With a family I love, a partner who supports me, and a passion that has grown into a career I could have only dreamed of. I never want to take any of that for granted.
Days like today remind me that photography has always been about so much more than taking pretty pictures.
It’s about freezing time when life moves too quickly. It’s about preserving the little moments that eventually become the big memories. It’s about giving someone something tangible to hold onto when a moment has passed.
I may be the one behind the camera, but I always walk away from these days feeling like I’ve been given just as much as I could ever hope to give.
At the end of the day, we never really know how much time we have. So love your people loudly. Take the pictures. Make the memories. Embrace the ordinary moments and the extraordinary adventures.
Above all, live like every day is one day to remember. 💛
