Well hello there, a lot has changed (quite amazing things actually!!)

We officially said goodbye to Arizona back in May, and moved to PA for a bit. It’s so wild to think that we were just a couple southern kids who wanted to move across the country, & now we found our way back. So thankful for our AZ chapter.

But life has been much more peaceful back east & I am fully embracing being where we’re at right now 🌾

Yes, I still do photo hehe… but I’m no longer taking new weddings. Branding (especially local farms, holla at ya girl), families, & couples are my new jam for behind the camera.

Capturing weddings for the past 6 years have been nothing short of amazing, but it’s time for a new season!

Hmm let’s see, what else? Been running Kaylie | Business Strategy for Service Providers full time behind the scenes & planning lots of fun upcoming projects. So I’ll be posting again here, but more of a chillaxed pace compared to what I’ve been doing

Anywho enjoy my mini garden, our chickens, and lots more to come from the heart 🤍

Trust me, I absolutely ADORE the family sessions I’ve been capturing. The desert is truly such a beautiful place & having nice heirloom photos to frame are truly priceless.

But at the same time, your kiddos want to run wild. And I say let them!

Don’t worry, we will still get the nice posed smiling photos. But choosing a location or activity that enables them to be themselves, explore, and have fun during the process is the goal. And you too mom & dad.

An impromptu butterfly garden experience 🦋

This was my 5th year capturing the Steele’s annual family photos & they decided on the Desert Botanical Gardens. After snagging some more posed pics, we decided to wander. Which led to us sneaking in at the very last second to see their butterfly exhibit before the sun went down ✨

10/10 recommend choosing a spot for your photos that has not only a great backdrop, but also a fun experience to adventure together!

I’ve had the honor of capturing this family for the past 5 years 🥹 They love having annual photos professionally done to have as their kiddos get older. But this year they chose a location for more interactive photos as well & I’m so obsessed with how they turned out!

I’ve been capturing families since 2018 & my favorite types of sessions are ones that make both mom & dad AND your kiddos happy! That looks like a little bit of posting & a whole lotta exploring 🦋

When it comes to capturing family photos, getting everyone comfortable is my main goal.

I like to start with getting the posed photos of everyone smiling, that way the “hard part” is done first. So afterwards, we get to explore.

No one is ever fully comfortable in front of the camera, it usually takes some warming up (which is 100% normal)!

When we were walking up the trail to explore, I asked Mr. Sammy here if he had any photo ideas he wanted to get. He thought for a minute & then said “yeah, how about I get on this rock” to which my response was, “heck yeah, you lead the way & I’ll follow”

I’m not here to force you to smile for the entire duration of your session. I’m here to capture you in your element.

And if that looks like your kiddo climbing on the top of a big boulder, then that’s something I like to embrace!

Yeah so my heart is sinking posting this lol… but it’s time.

June 2026 we are leaving Arizona.

Jackson and I moved to Scottsdale in September 2021 with the plan to only stay for 3 months. Which turned into 4+ years lol.

I can’t even put it into words how grateful I am for everything Arizona has given us & how faithful the Lord has been through it all.

We didn’t know a single soul when we moved out here & through time, built a community of our people to make a family since ours were 2,000 miles away.

I wanted to come to AZ with the intention of taking my photography business full time, and after only 9 months of being here… that dream came true.
 Getting to have AZ be my home photo base has been full of so much adventure, getting to meet the most amazing people, & I am so grateful for every second.

But our people are back on the east coast & we knew AZ was only temporary. So it’s time to work towards our next adventure in life!

We will be moving to Virginia long term, but living temporarily in PA to get our roots planted where we officially would like to be.

I will still be coming back out to visit friends & serve clients who are already booked for 2026/2027, but I will only be taking sessions for spring 2026 until further trips back out are booked.

Thank you AZ for an unforgettable 4 years & thank YOU to every client who’s trusted me with your photos, and every person for support through it all!

Did I add this song on purpose? Well of course, it reminded me of NYC. I know it’s not, but it certainly felt like it. And it just fit the vibe.

We lost city hall. We found city hall. No wait, we lost it again. Okay wait, there we go, now we found city hall.

And that sums up the first half of Sam & Bailey’s engagement pics as we adventured through downtown Phoenix ✨

I met Bailey at the dog park at our apartment complex 2 years ago. Our dogs were the only psychos down in the dog park so they’ve been playing since they were puppies. Benni has great taste because it led me to Bailey & I’m so thankful for our friendship 🥹 so when she told me her & Sam got engaged & wanted me to take their pics, after the well of happy tears passed through, I texted back with a big PHAT YES!!
