I don’t photograph couples very often, but every time I do I’m reminded how much I love it! Especially when they adore each other the way these two do and are completely natural together in front of the camera! 🥰

LIFE UPDATE: Life has been looking a lot different for me lately. This year I’ve had 2 out of 4 surgeries that I have scheduled to remove the loose skin after my 200lb weight loss. I’ve also been dedicating more energy to creating content for which has been so fun, but is also time consuming.

Don’t worry, I’m still doing photography and will be recovered from my next 2 surgeries in time for a busy fall season! With that said, because of the addition of my content creation and some projects I have on my plate for that endeavor, I will be taking *slightly* less photo sessions this fall than I normally do.

If you know you want to book a session with me for this fall, I would LOVE to see you! And I encourage you to get your session booked ASAP (email me!) to make sure I have a date saved just for you! 🥰 If you want a mini session, you will get priority booking if you’re on my mini session email list (link in profile) and those dates and details can be expected to go out by early September at the latest!

I’m excited about the new opportunities I’ve been able to explore lately but I’m also excited to be photographing you (hopefully 😉) this fall! 💜

Senior girl sessions are some of my favorite to capture! But it’s not just because they’re beautiful and I like their outfit choices. 😉 It’s because they actually want to be there getting photos taken!

Whenever someone asks me my favorite type of session to photograph I always end up saying “I just love photographing people who are enthusiastic about being photographed!” That doesn’t mean they feel 100% confident, it just means they value photography and are excited to be able to have this season of their life documented!

Spring Mini Sessions are here! 💐 I have two spots available at this location on Sunday, April 13th in the late afternoon! This location has a beautiful boulder background but also some more open desert areas too! 🌵 These mini sessions range from $275-$375 depending on the amount of time spent and final amount of photos received! I went to Hawaii in October and just recently got around to editing some of the landscape photos I took. 😍 I love photographing landscape but it’s not my expertise. I can never seem to make it as awe-inspiring as it actually is in real life.

I’m much more confident in my abilities when it comes to photographing people! And if you’re a person who wants to be photographed, I would LOVE to photograph you this spring! 🌸 I have availability in late March and throughout the month of April and then I won’t have more availability until June. So now is the perfect time to schedule your spring session!

I’m so thankful for all the families and people who trusted me to capture this recent season of their lives that resulted in a busy fall for me!

I truly believe in documenting every season. Whether we view it as good or bad. Hard or rewarding. Overwhelming or peaceful. A blessing or a lesson. It all deserves to be documented because it’s all a part of your journey. It’s a part of your story. A part of your legacy.

And YOU also deserve to be photographed in every season. In every body size. With every wrinkle. In the midst of every trauma or heartbreak. And with every insecurity. You deserve to take up space. You deserve to be in the photo. This version of you is worth remembering. Don’t ever forget that. 💜

I don’t always have the chance to be creative during every session. I have my process streamlined and I’m able to consistently get the shots that I know I want! I’m thankful for this! 🙌🏻 But every once in a while I still get the opportunity to stray from the normal process and get a shot like this first one! 😍 If I see a beautiful sky and have clients that are willing to climb up some rocks, I’ll take advantage of that! 😉

I got to take pictures of my favorite boys (and their parents 😉) when I went to Hawaii last month! 🌺 It’s so special to love what you do so much that you actually WANT to work while you’re on vacation because taking photos in different places and with new sceneries makes you excited! 😍

I often get asked “what is your favorite thing to photograph?” Since I do a variety of portrait sessions, it makes sense that people might be curious what I enjoy the most. My answer is never a specific type of session though. I love every type of photography that I offer for different reasons!

But the sessions that fill me with the most joy and light me up are the sessions where I get to photograph people who are happy to be there and excited about getting their photos taken. Whether it’s a family or maternity or senior session. I love photographing people who truly value photography and are grateful to have documentation of this season in their life!

Thankfully, that is so many of my clients! Like this beautiful family! 🥰🙌🏻

I can’t believe I’ve been doing photography professionally for 12 years! 😱 But when I say “professionally” I just mean that’s when people started paying me money to take photos of them. 🙈 It wasn’t until 5 years ago that I decided to really take my business seriously and intentionally grow it to turn it into a full time job! And now I’ve been making a full time income from it for 4 years!

I know this is cliche… but I truly feel so grateful to have a job that I love! A job that brings me joy! One where I get to meet new people, continue relationships with ones I’ve met before, be creative, experiment, grow, learn, make people laugh and be a part of helping people preserve valuable memories, people and seasons in their lives!

I’m passionate about a lot of things and my heart is in a lot of different places. But it’s still always been here too. I’m thankful that so many of you give me the opportunity to continue doing something I love for living!
