December 7, 2011
To all members of the Desert Mountain Photography Club:
Our meetings will be held on the third Thursday of each month, starting with January 19th at 3PM, at the Ladies Library in the Cochise Clubhouse.
At our January meeting, please bring in and share, one image that communicates to the group, who you are. This would be based on the subject, why and how it was shot, how you felt about the subject when you were photographing it. And if you enhanced it, please tell us how and what you did, and whether or not you thought you were successful in communicating these things.
We are hoping for everyone to participate. It does not matter at which level of photographic ability you work, or what type of equipment you use. The Photography Club is meant to be a group of people who are interested in the photographic medium, but who are also interested in interacting with others who have the same interest.
We will be projecting our images onto a screen, using a computer and digital projector. Please load your finished JPEG images onto a USB Flash drive (with your name on it) for the meeting. It would be helpful to know if you are planning to attend and share at the January meeting, so please e-mail me by January 9th
Hopefully, you have been actively photographing this off season and doing at least some of your shooting using the assigned subjects. Just in case you have misplaced the list, haven't had time to photograph or go thru your files, or asked to join the group after the list was sent out, here it is again:
Shadow Reflection Sign Sunset Animal Door Statue Water Stairs Bridge
As our winter season progresses, we will include the showing of our summer’s project work in our meetings.
A meeting to discuss ideas for the Photography Club's activities for the season is planned for Thursday, December 15th, at 2:30 on the Sunset Terrace. All are invited to participate. Your input will be invaluable. Please let me know if you can attend by Monday, Dec. 12th. If you cannot attend, any ideas sent by e-mail would be appreciated.
