BEHIND THE LENS

Well hi there; my name is Tim (Timmy) Abshire. I have been a PHOTOGRAPHER now for about 38 years. I started in High school taking classes with an old hand-me-down 35mm camera. But soon after I had become the lead photographer of both the school newspaper and the yearbook committee. After high school I joined the United States Air Force and had a career as a Structural Mechanic on

both the KC-10 inflight refueling aircraft and the B-2 Bomber. I started Photofunk photography in 2001 after my military career had ended and have not looked back. I have always loved to take photos, consisting of mostly Nature and Animal photography after high school. But now I have jumped head first into portraits and Family photography. With my new studio and a Digital camera, Photofunk Photography has really begun to take my career as a photographer to new levels. Please if you have not taken the time to view the galleries of my work I hope you will now, and it is my hope that you will enjoy looking at them as much as I have had fun creating them.
