Established in 2024, Addison Parker Photography is photography business created by husband-and-wife Christy and Robby Crafton. Named after our two beautiful children, who inspire us to grow. We view photography as a way to capture moments in time that can be treasured forever. This art form is so special us and we look forward to sharing memories with you!

🌾📸 A Little Louisiana Life Update from Addison Parker Photography!

As many of y’all know, we moved down from Missouri a little over a year ago, and let me tell you… South Louisiana has been something special. We’re still learning our way around, picking up new traditions, and—most importantly—discovering all the delicious food.

One thing we’ve absolutely had to adjust to (in the BEST way) is gumbo. 😋 We’ve been blessed with some amazing local friends who’ve shared their homemade gumbo with us, and it hits the spot on these chilly days!

This past Sunday, we took a little father-son trip to Lake Charles to visit my nephew. We stopped by this beautiful little restaurant, Nina P’s, and of course my son had to try a cup of gumbo. He took one bite and went on and on about how good it was… so naturally I had to order a bowl for myself. And yep—he was right. It was GOOD.

Now we know Louisiana is full of hidden gems, and we want to hear from y’all:

We know some of you are going to say yours is the best… or that your mama or daddy makes the best. And hey, we believe you—and you’re more than welcome to bring us some! 😂

🦃 Thanksgiving is here, y’all! 🦃

And if your house is anything like ours… it’s about to be beautifully chaotic. 😂

Between the last-minute grocery runs, kids wrestling in the living room, everyone getting shooed out of the kitchen, and the football game on full blast—this is the good stuff. The memories. The moments you’ll want to look back on.

So while everyone is gathered around the table (or the TV), don’t forget to grab your phone and snap a few photos!

Not the perfect, everyone-posed-and-smiling kind…
But the real ones.
The messy ones.
The belly-laugh ones.
The quiet ones.
The “Oops…the rolls are burnt!” ones.

Because that is where the beauty of Thanksgiving lives. 🤎

Alright y’all… we need to settle something VERY important before Thanksgiving gets here.

In our house, the great debate is alive and well.
My husband is 100% team turkey — and I swear he has more pictures of his Thanksgiving turkeys than he does of me.
Every year it’s a whole photoshoot… angles, lighting, close-ups… like sir, it’s a BIRD.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are happily over here slicing into the ham like civilized people.

And honestly, some of us are just in it for the pie anyway.

So let’s hear it:
What’s the real star on your Thanksgiving plate?

This woman is truly incredible—beautiful inside and out, a loving wife and mother, and one of the hardest-working people I know. She’s balancing a full-time job and full-time college, and doing it all with so much grace. We are so proud of her! 💛
