There's something special about in home family sessions. It's comfy and cozy and familiar. It's documenting the little things that truly make your house a HOME. It's also an amazing idea when it's a million degrees outside.. lol! Shanan and Brandon are high school sweethearts who have built such a beautiful life together. Their two gorgeous girls are so fun to have in front of my lens, and always keep me laughing! I love getting to see little glimpses of what it's like to be in their world, where instead of simply walking around the house (boringgg) you get escorted by a magical unicorn.. lol! Thank you for allowing me to come into your home, and sharing these precious moments with me!

I finally got my hands on the newest addition to the Gerke crew! Miss Tessa was the sweetest, sleepiest little lady. She understood the assignment and smiled SO big for her photos, especially when we included some photos of one of her guardian angels, her grandmother. 🦋 I loved seeing how enamored her brothers are by her, and can’t wait to see her adding a little bit of mermaid magic to their world of monster trucks! Congratulations David and Jaime, on your precious baby girl, and having the best of both worlds in your home now! 💕💙💙

Newborn Sessions hit a little different when it’s your own nephew 😭💙

This is Gregory Paul Parson III. (G3) Affectionately renamed by my son as “Baby Eggy” (Gregory is hard to say as a two year old) 😂 and Smoooosh by his Mama and Daddy.

Ashlyn and Greg have blown me away with how gracefully they stepped into their role as parents. From listening to the way Gee coached Ashlyn through her breathing and pushing in the delivery room, to watching him crush a video game with a newborn on his chest like a pro to Ashlyn breezing through pregnancy, and stepping right into motherhood like she’s been doing it for years- I’m so incredibly proud of them and in awe at how great of a team they make.

I got to hear Baby Gregory’s first cries as he entered the world through the phone, and as soon as I had an opening in my schedule I was in FL as fast as possible. He has already changed so much in the two weeks he has been in this world. He has stolen everyone’s heart immediately. He is so snuggly and sweet and ADORABLE. I already can’t wait to get my hands on him again.

Congratulations to “Auntie ESH” and “Uncle Gee” on becoming Mom and Dad. Thank you for blessing us all with the sweetest little man. 🥹

I’m SO glad we were able to sneak in a senior session this past weekend for this gorgeous senior! Ashlyn really showed up and showed out for these! 😍♥️ What started off with a little shyness and timidity slowly transformed into a confident, glowing, powerhouse of a girl who completely ROCKED these poses with such poise and ease. She is the last baby of her household which makes this session bittersweet, but I know she will make her family so proud as she takes those steps out of the nest to fly! 🌾☀️

The Arauco Family got the sunset session that dreams are made of on Saturday evening! Due to crazy weather forecasts lately this session had been highly anticipated after several rain outs. I think the sky showed off a little to make up for it! Let's be honest though, the sunset was definitely beautiful but this family was even better! Charlotte and Henry should be in magazines. Not only are they ADORABLE, but it was so easy to capture that sibling bond between them as they played along the beach and jumped in the waves. It was so sweet to see Alyssa and Josh still so in love after a decade of being together, I caught them several times sneaking kisses in between all the posing.. 😉 I'm so glad we had a perfect weather kinda day to capture all of the love of this family! ❤☀

Hannah is a SENIOR, and well on her way to greatness! Such a sweet soul, the Hermitage Museum and Gardens were the perfect location to fit her vibe: serene and BEAUTIFUL. She brought along one of the sweetest sentimental items- her little childhood buddy and incorporated him into some of the photos. 🐼♥️ We also decided if we were winding back the clock a little- she needed to climb some trees too, and it made for some really fun shots! I’m so glad Hannah was down for everything and anything! I already know her future at Virginia Tech and BEYOND will be so bright!

After a fickle forecast yesterday, and watching the clouds all day we switched up our original plans and ended up at Fair Weather Farms to utilize their gorgeous greenhouse- and WOW! This session ended up better than we could have hoped for! Everyone stayed dry, we had a gorgeous backdrop, and we even got to make some new duck friends. I laughed so much with this family, they were so EASY to have in front of my lens. We truly couldn't go wrong with this location, and these GORGEOUS people. George Bernard Shaw is quoted as saying "A happy family is but an earlier heaven.." It was so enjoyable capturing all of the love and HAPPY between every one of these guys. 🤍

Lenora is FINALLY here! She was way too comfy in her mama's belly and took her sweet time making her way into this world. Everyone was so happy to finally meet her, especially big sister, Eliza. It was so sweet watching Eliza snuggle and smooch on her baby sister. I think they are going to grow up to be the best of friends, and I can't wait to watch it all unfold. I am so happy for the Airth Family, and loved getting to snuggle on their newest addition. Welcome to the world Lenora! 🩷

If you look up the phrase "Hands full, hearts fuller.." you would probably see a photo of the Banks Family along side it. I had so much fun with these guys! Mom and Dad are outnumbered.. but by the sweetest, kindest and silliest little souls. This family is BEAUTIFUL. As I took each kid one at a time to do individual photos, I was gasping behind my camera at how CUTE each one of them was and how much personality they each let me see. I loved getting to know this crew, they kept me giggling the entire time. So full of energy, and so full of LOVE. Thanks for hanging with me Banks Fam! These babies def earned their ice cream!! 😍☀

Written in the stars, and bound by their love.. The Allens are officially Mr. and Mrs. 🖤✨

This Wedding was magical in every way. Christina with her black gown looked like a bridal goddess of the night- and her bouquet, entwined in crystals, lavender and good intentions was one of the most unique pieces I have ever seen. Jason looked dashing in his green suit- and it was a perfect compliment to his personalized converses. So many good vibes, good friends, and big LOVE woven into every detail made this day even more special. Disheveled Gardens provided an incredible space for the perfect back yard ceremony, with hideaway greenhouses, twinkling fairy lights, and blooming flowers. Every where you looked gave secret garden vibes, and so much beauty in every detail. I have never seen Christina smile so much, I caught her ogling her new husband quite a few times.. lol I am so incredibly happy for these two and their families having officially been joined together. Sending the new Allens so many blessings and well wishes in their future together (which will hopefully include tattoos, legos and dumpling date nights!) 😉🎉
