This week, Kelli and I did something we’ve dreamed about for years—we officially joined KT Merry for her next level course for photographers and creatives “The Abundence Plan”.

One thing that’s always been important to us is continuing to grow—not just as artists, but as business owners, as people, and in the way we care for and serve our couples. We are constantly taking classes about how to show up better for our clients…Whether it’s strengthening our business, refining our client experience, becoming more intentional in how we show up for our community, or being more intentional in our personal lives, growth makes us better at what we love.

Meeting KT in Rome on the day of this incredible event, after following and admiring her work for so many years, felt incredibly surreal. It was one of those full-circle moments we’ll never forget.

We’re so grateful to be part of this inspiring and artistic community, and we’re excited to keep learning, growing, and bringing everything we can back to the couples who trust us with their stories. 🤍

It’s not always the perfectly composed or expected photos that bring you back to a moment (though those matter, too). Sometimes it’s the in-between. Looking over your shoulder at the sparkling water of the lake in the summer, a moment of stillness between you and nature. THAT’S the image that brings it all back in to focus years later.

Contextual photos like this are a vital part of our wedding galleries. By definition, “something that is bshaped by, understood through, or connected to the surrounding circumstances, environment, or setting.”
Telling your story isn’t just in who or how or what happened, but in the environment it happened within, and how it felt to be there.

Adventure engagement sessions are all about slowing down, exploring somewhere beautiful, and capturing you and your love as you would naturally interact. It’s a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, share a few laughs, and walk away with a gallery that feels natural, effortless, and most importantly, honest to who you are together.

Whether we’re chasing golden hour in the Cascades, or waterfalls up the Gorge, wandering the Astoria coast, or cozying up in a quiet corner of your home, our engagement sessions are designed to be an experience—not just a photoshoot. Think of it as a laid-back date with a little direction, where the moments unfold organically.
