Olde Saratoga Paranormal Group Olde Saratoga Paranormal Group was started because we were interested in two things: history and the unexplained.

Over the 13 years of being in existence we have learned a lot and still have more questions than answers. Olde Saratoga Paranormal was originally founded by Matt and Pete Derway and Adam Myers in 2008. The group disbanded for a while but is up and Running again. We have a group of investigators that are all interested in strange happenings. Our general philosophy is to go into a location and try t

o find natural causes for unnatural occurrences. We use a variety of tools during the investigation from cameras, video cameras, voice recorders to dousing rods, tennis balls and cards. We also try to do as much research as possible on a location so we can ask questions to anything that may be there. We believe that if someplace is haunted, it is a person haunting it so we want to respect the person and call them by name. Matt and I have been going through equipment to get ready for Saturday night at the Canfield Casino. We have 16 security cameras with 12 more on the way. We have 3,220 feet of cable for the cameras, with another almost 700 feet of cable coming with the cameras. I think we may be set. With security cameras for a while.

Matt worked on putting together the evidence we had from the ghost hunt we did in 2019 at the Canfield Casino. Is Ava still around? How will the spirits feel about us there on November 13? Guess we will find out.

So Matt and I just did a presentation for a group in Saratoga. It was a fun evening with lots of discussion and questions. We have been working on a setting up a couple investigations but we have had a lot going on and a couple injuries(Matthew) and you know this whole pandemic thing... it has made it hard to do anything. We are still around. If you would like us to come check out a property let us know.

I wish we could have regular investigations or get togethers but that is hard to do. I know I have been trying to keep up to date on new paranormal shows. My go tos are Ghost Nation, Kindred Spirits and my new favorite may be Holtzer Files.
