In this new season, I have been feeling led to show up more authentically and prioritize the stewardship of this gift that God has entrusted and blessed me with.
That being said, here's some truth. I have been struggling with creativity, with showing up with a proper heart posture, with directing my couples and communication.
The other night, I attended IF Gathering at my church. At the end, the speaker asked us to fill in the blanks of this statement "For such a time as this, I am leaving behind _____ and moving towards _____." I made sure to not contemplate, and wrote down the first response that the Holy Spirit said to me.
"For such a time as this, I am leaving behind Self-Doubt and moving towards empowerment in my identity in Christ to be His hands and feet." I surrender all that I had been holding on to. Control, Self-Doubt, Comparison.
I arrived to this session early. I sat in my car and I prayed over myself, my creativity, my couple. I asked God to guide me, to help me see what He sees. I walked away from this session blown away by His faithfulness. These images are more than a beautiful engagement session for this couple. These images are Him speaking through me and to me. We are all beautifully and wonderfully made. We just need to trust Him.
