I graduated in 2010.

At the time, it felt like such a big moment.

And it was.

But looking back now, what gets me is not the year or the milestone. It is seeing the younger version of myself staring back.

Then I look at my daughter’s kindergarten portrait.

Her tiny teeth.
Her sweet smile.
The little girl who still wants me to tuck her in and hold her hand.

And I cannot help but imagine the day I place her senior portrait beside this one.

One photo of the little girl she is today.

One photo of the young woman she will become.

Two portraits.
Twelve short years apart.

As moms, we are living in the middle of the story right now. Packing lunches, tying shoes, and wondering how they are already growing so fast.

One day, we will look back and realize these were the years we wanted to hold onto most.

Classic Formal Portraits are for the moms who already know they will blink, and kindergarten will somehow turn into senior year.
