Some love stories start in the most unexpected places — like a fish fry arranged by a dad and an uncle who just knew. 🎣 And now look at them. Courtney and Philip, married, at the stunning Red Gate Farms, surrounded by every spring bloom and color Courtney had always dreamed of for her Easter wedding.
Being in the presence of these two is truly a blessing. If you believe in soulmates — and I do — then Courtney and Philip are exactly what that looks like.
From the rehearsal dinner the night before to the last dance, this entire weekend was pure joy to capture. Congratulations you two. The world is better with your love in it.

Dads slowing down long enough to hold their daughters close…
and little girls who will remember these dances for the rest of their lives.

It was such a joy capturing these portraits with some amazing young ladies and the fathers who love them so well.

Success isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it looks like obedience.

One Sunday, a good friend of mine, Pastor Chris asked me,
“What’s your purpose?”

At the time… I didn’t answer with certainty.

I knew I loved photography.
I knew I loved my family.
But I hadn’t defined it.

After reading and working more on my self. Now I can.

My gift isn’t photography.
It’s stewardship.

Stewardship of vision.
Of family.
Of purpose.

The camera is just the tool.
The calling is bigger.

I used to think humility meant downplaying my gifts.

It doesn’t.

There’s a difference between arrogance and confidence.
Confidence is simply agreeing with what God already placed inside of you.

I’ve spent years sharpening my craft.
Learning.
Failing.
Rebuilding.
Growing.

At some point, you have to stop questioning your value and start walking in it.

Your gift makes room for you.

First look = private, calm, efficient.
Aisle reveal = traditional, emotional, shared.

Neither is better.

It’s about personality, timeline, and vision.

Anyone can push a shutter.
But real photography happens before the click.

It’s knowing how to guide movement.
How to help couples relax.
How to create space for connection instead of stiff poses.

Most couples tell me,
“We’re awkward in front of the camera.”

My job is to make you forget the camera is even there.

Because the best photos don’t come from perfect poses —
they come from intentional direction and real moments.
