Well hi 👋🏼 it’s been a minute. Life’s been a whirlwind & it’s probably about time that I catch y’all up on what’s been happening over here.
The start of my third trimester came with some complications. I was diagnosed with polyhydraminos (too much amniotic fluid) and we started weekly testing to make sure our little guy wasn’t under any stress. I have had multiple scans and stress tests done over the last few weeks to try and figure out why this was happening. We are so thankful to know that while this diagnosis is usually associated with some sort of fetal anomaly, our case is one of the few that it just happens for no known reasons. Other than having a ton of extra fluid, we’ve discovered our little guy is not so little! He’s measuring in at 8.5lbs at 36weeks and still growing 😅 Since our diagnosis, we’ve been rushed into labor and delivery twice, nearly having an emergency c section, but our doctors have done their very best to try and make sure our guy can make it full term.
We were told we might not make it to December, but our sweet boy is a fighter and hanging in there! I’m thankful to now know that there is nothing wrong with him, other than the fact that he’s sitting transverse & not interested in coming out any time soon 😂
Because of all of this, I choose to step away from social media. Between work, family, and the unknown of what might have been going on with our pregnancy, I needed to take time to process everything we were going through. I’ve still been photographing, just not very present on social media, but I can’t wait to share the stunning sessions I’ve captured lately 💛 thank you to everyone who reached out to check on me & to all my clients for being so understanding with scheduling around my many appointments.
